The Existential Beatnik: February 2009
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 16, 2009. The problem with time travel. It's never as easy as it seems. Alright.test, test, 3, 2, 1, go. I've only got a few minutes before the next, um, event, so I'm going to have to make this quick. You're listening to this, I'm assuming, because you're interested in my work. That's good. In fact, there is soon to be an opening in my field, one which I currently occupy. More on that later. And one last thin-. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wednesday, March 23, 2011. ROVM - Barbecue Seitan with Potatoes and Experimental Salad. In which I get a new knife and really need to show it off. In today's installment of Regular Ordinary Vegan Mealtime, I'll be taking you though the events of my day, through the course of a meal (with dessert, of course), and round and round the inside of my thought processes. For dinner tonight, we'll be serving delicious (though slightly chewy) barbecue seitan. Easy peasy. But then, this happened. From vegweb). ...

The Existential Beatnik: December 2008
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Check out the sidebar, I've added a new twitter widget (sounds dirty). Links to this post. A nice atheistic post. To lighten your god-fearing day. I was in the park today- I'll soon write a post on my sister blog. So I sat there, considering the grass, and the trees, and how the sunlig.whoa.did it again. I considered. those things. Arguments from design. Though I must say, my favorite example of this: that the grass was put on Earth by god so that we could have something s...

The Existential Beatnik: January 2011

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Regular Ordinary Vegan Mealtime! In which I create some swedish cuisine. Hold on. Before you go any further, watch this video. Needless to say, I too was impressed. I enjoyed the spectacle so much that I decided to craft a vegan version of a meal which is originally anything but. Here's how it goes:. 2/3 lbs. Macaroni. Vegan Sliced Deli "Ham". Speaking of which, the mac is probably still boiling at this point. Let the batch simmer down, there's no draining here, we're cookin...

The Existential Beatnik: January 2009
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. An open letter to the armed services. Also a closed letter, I sent it in just now. And the reply I sent back. I'll have no part in this. It's terrible that you're exploiting the financial situations of college students in a bid to enlist them into service. Also, how many people have you really tricked by the claim that this email is somehow "UNCLASSIFIED"? I mean, really, the people who fall for the "OMG, I'm needed for a secret mission! Uniformed men, handing leaflets in malls.

The Existential Beatnik: October 2008
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 25, 2008. I was out to witness a crime. Past the gray brick walls. Past the sleeping homeless. I was sipping a latte. Through the "bad" part of town. In the ill-lit walks. In the store-front sector. In the very middle. I was walking down an alley. To where my bike waited,. Chained to a pipe. Screwed to a meter. Stuck in the ground. And I left for home. Links to this post. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Longest. Sentence. Ever. How Marcel Proust instantly became my idol. Links to this post.

The Existential Beatnik: Short Fiction: He Stood in the Shadows
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2011/03/short-fiction-he-stood-in-shadows.html
Saturday, March 5, 2011. Short Fiction: He Stood in the Shadows. In which I write extemporaneously. On the other side. The smells made his mouth water, his heartbeat race; they made his breaths deep and intentional. He savored these moments; there were all he had to look forward to besides sleeping, which he also enjoyed. What would he think? It would destroy him. Would it be cruel to release him from his prison, to show him the world which had been locked from him? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
