http://www.dontwhitesugarcoatit.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Don't (White) Sugar-Coat It. Friday, November 21, 2014. Recipe Redux: Giving Thanks for Food Memories. Theme was ridiculously hard for me. Not because I wasn't inspired. Not because food combinations and recipes couldn't come to me. But because how could I choose just one food memory that I am thankful for to write about? The disordered eating and diet food consumption sadly continued into my freshman year of college until one day I got sick of sugar-free, fat-free CoolWhip and went back to eating real f...

Cooking my way through a pescie lifestyle. Musings: Tofu Thai Noodles (And How to Press Tofu). I’m a huge fan of tofu. There I said it. I like tofu grilled, thinly sliced like in the Chicago-style tofu sandwich. At Handlebar, sautéed, and baked as prepared in the tofu Thai noodles. When I’m preparing it, I even like to sneak a little piece before it’s marinated to enjoy the (very) subtle flavor. The last thing you want is soggy tofu. In the tofu Thai noodle recipe. Move to the refrigerator and let press ...

Lotions and chapsticks and shampoo, oh my! September 23, 2013. When I was younger (pre-vegetarian days), I learned about the horrors of animal testing. Even though I was still eating meat, I made a conscious effort to buy products that weren’t tested on animals. Beautiful Curls uses Certified Fair Trade shea butter and is cruelty-free. If you have curly hair, I strongly recommend these products. They have changed my hair! Locals, you can buy the shampoo and conditioner at Healthy Living in Burlington, VT.
