QUILT MUSINGS OF A FRUSTRATED CRAFTER. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Jeux d'aiguilles, Geneve, Switzerland. So, I google Quilt Shops in Geneve, Switzerland, before I left my hotel room this morning and what did you think I found? So off I went to Jeux d'aiguilles. Nice looking front window. So I go inside. thru the window, I can see a group of women sitting at a table in the back. Did I catch a class in session? Wouldn't that be a treat! The shop had more cross stitch than quilting supplies, in fact,.

QUILT MUSINGS OF A FRUSTRATED CRAFTER. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. What was I ever thinking. Ughhh, while most will work out nicely, some areas are still way too small. Here's to hoping I can enlarge them quickly without loosing the integrity of the piece. I already know that one part won't work at the size I have, because the paper ripped right up when I tried to remove it from the cameo mat. the pieces were just too thinly cut! Quilted Artistry: My latest piece
http://rfvaldes.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-latest-piece.html
QUILT MUSINGS OF A FRUSTRATED CRAFTER. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I have been so busy lately. summer is family time and we spent all but 10 days in July on the road. From my son-in-laws family lake house in Fiddle Lake, Pa, to Puerto Rico for my husband's fathers family reunion, with a little vacation time added on to the end, to a week in Vegas for work. It is a wonder I found anytime to quilt, but I did. What do you think? Oh looking at the picture I realized I never added her earring! A directory of pa.

QUILT MUSINGS OF A FRUSTRATED CRAFTER. Sunday, September 7, 2014. Which Path would you Take wins First Place, Wall quilts at Northern Stars show 2014. As you can see from my last post, I am catching up on my blogging. The 2014 Northern Star Quilt Guild show was a good show for me. I have won many second and third place ribbons at this local guild show, but I have wanted for many years to see one of my pieces hang on the 'blue ribbon' wall. So I was extremely pleased to see this piece do so. Hi, I have be...

QUILT MUSINGS OF A FRUSTRATED CRAFTER. Monday, March 28, 2011. In the Spotlight wins Honorable Mention at the Empire Quilter's Show! Blaze of Glory was in the Wall Quilts category. And that is what I am going to do. I submitted both of these quilts and a third in another show at the end of April. I don't know if they will be accepted, but it will be interesting to hear what those judges have to say. I love the beading on this piece. The bodices on the dresses as is the bottom border are hand beaded!
