Tuesday was my 35th birthday and I got the best gift ever – I became a mom! C met with her birth parent counselor and signed her surrenders, finally making it official. In our state, the birth moms have a mandatory 72 hour minimum waiting period before they can legally sign surrenders. They can take longer than 72 hours, but can’t sign any sooner.
