Happy though it is to have a house full of family, young people, laughter, mess and chaos, there is something sweet about having my spaces returned to me. Monday, December 21, 2009. So long to blog. I was delighted to get 80 for my play writing assignment - I am finding writing in this discipline very appealing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://shannon-exiledkiwi.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 31, 2009. Daily Haiku - Empty. There are no more words. Left to say or to inspire;. The pen has run out. Daily Haiku - Summer has gone. The air is cooler. Out come the long-sleeved t-shirts. Socks call from the drawer. Friday, October 30, 2009. Daily Haiku - Jacarandas. Blue on blue; breathless. Beauty and perfect balance. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Daily Haiku - rain, finally. Drowning dust hanging heavy. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The pictures above say the rest. To come home safely;.

ExiledKiwi: September 2009
http://shannon-exiledkiwi.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Daily Haiku - 2. The pale grey-green leaves. Of the olive trees shimmer. In the winter sun. Daily Haiku - summer wanes. Long days, shorter nights. The earth turns on its axis. Long nights, shorter days. I posted this on the wrong blog yesterday. Duh! Daily Haiku - still no rain. Autumn clouds thunder but leave. With their empty threats. Saturday, September 26, 2009. No Haiku, merely thoughts. Friday, September 25, 2009. Daily Haiku - summer is over. The swallows have left.

http://shannon-exiledkiwi.blogspot.com/2010/10/i-hate-getting-up.html
Thursday, October 7, 2010. I hate getting up . But oh it is so worth it to see the sunrise before the day opens and shows all the flaws and soullessness (is this a word) of the area I live. I seem to have lost the function for uploading pictures. Damn. The computer starts clicking and the upload box is blank. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). To the Salton Sea. ExiledKiwi: New writing course with OU
http://shannon-exiledkiwi.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-writing-course-with-ou.html
Wednesday, October 6, 2010. New writing course with OU. I am completely taken up with and enjoying the new course. Happily I finally seem to have a tutor who engages. Time will tell. My current obsession with my mother is once again spilling out into my writing, but I am not fighting it as I think that I need to indulge it to clear it. Until I do, it will continue to impinge on me like a scab that I keep going back to scratch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Not Designed to Juggle. To the Salton Sea.

In Exile: August 2013
http://shannon-in-exile.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 20 August 2013. Set up and first plot point. I am a recent convert to Larry Brooks. And his two books. Not just a convert but. A fully-fledged proselytiser. So much so I am restarting almost from scratch and will do it with his ideas about structure, character, plot points, concept etc and the need to know and plan these in advance before writing. I feel a sense of excitement which has been distant lately (no doubt due to real life intruding and Cyprus summer heat oppressing body and soul).
