Fearfully and Wonderfully made. A mother's heart. Life with. . . Good Bye Chocolate Mint Candy Cane Cast! February 10, 2009, 8:29 am. After having ones foot in a cast for just over 2 months – enough said! So when it came time for Chaz to wash off her foot, you would have thought she was being tormented! The time final came for her to walk with the AFO. She wheeled herself to the parallel bars, got the wheel chair lined up, brakes set and then took off and walked the length of the bars – twice!

However due to the nature of the condition she has, it is hard for her to reach all of her pins. Just what I need – one more med to keep track of. Pray that the essential oils would clear any infection that might be brewing under the surface. It has been good that the weather has been nice for late October in Minnesota. Fearfully and Wonderfully made. A mother's heart. Life with. . . What’s in a Name? March 18, 2008, 11:45 pm. Just when I had finally learned how to spell and say Arthrogryposis correctly, I now have to learn a new name – the name of the specific form of arthrogryposis that Giovanna has! That appointment was today (Tuesday 18 March) and the doctor’s best guess is that it is Amyoplasia Congenita or Amyoplasia. Try saying that one 1o times fast! Here is a description of the disease from healthline.com &...

Tuesday, March 3, 2009. The surgery lasted four hours. Richard and I spent the majority of the time in the waiting room with Tracey and her mom. We were so grateful for their company and the distraction! He is in a petrie cast (long-leg casts with a stabilizing bar between) complete with cow print! We extend our gratitude to all of you who have kept Evan and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate each and every one of you! Evan is such a trooper! His cow cast is super cute! Arthrogryposis Adoption: Our time with Alexis
http://arthrogryposisadoption.blogspot.com/2012/05/our-time-with-alexis.html
Sunday, May 6, 2012. Our time with Alexis. The day we walked into Orphanage 39 in January of this year, it was freezing cold. We were bundled up and snow was all over us. I remember walking down the hallway, wondering how long it would be before we saw our daughter. In fact, I didn’t see any kids. We met with the Director, the attorney, the social worker, and everyone else. Finally, we could go meet our daughter. Down the long hallway, our footsteps echoing on the cold tile floor. Back in January and Feb...

Friday, April 3, 2009. Out early for good behavior. . . I know, I know. I have done a terrible job updating. And I can't even blame it on being busy providing for of all of Evan's wants and needs because, quite frankly, this surgery and recovery has been, (dare I say it), a breeze! Evan with the birthday girl. While he was recovering he also had the chance to go to his first college basketball game, the NCAA play-in game between Morehead State and Alabama. He had such a great time! So, we will be heading...

Friday, February 20, 2009. You want to eat him up, don't you? Don't worry, he has that effect on all of us! Joshua was born with multiple limb differences. Doctors have been unable to pinpoint a specific diagnosis for Joshua's condition because the characteristics of his disorder do not fit neatly into any one diagnosis. Several theories include femoral hypoplasia. Without unusual facies), proximal focal femoral deficiency. Caudal regression, and sacral agenesis/dysgenesis. Such as neurogenic bladder are...

Friday, February 20, 2009. Evan was born with a condition known as Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. The word "arthrogryposis" comes from the Greek derived "arthro" (joint) and "gryposis" (crooking). The terms "multiplex" (multiple or many) and "congenita" (existing from birth) are Latin derived. Losely translated, the term Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita means "many crooked joints at birth.". How Evan is effected. To learn more about Arthrogryposis go to AMC Support. Evan is amazing; Kayla and I lo...

Friday, February 27, 2009. I can still remember the first time I saw your face. It was like I had just found the final piece of a complicated puzzle. You were no stranger to me. My spirit knew yours and I knew that you were meant to be my son. I could not wait to hold you in my arms and tell you how much I already loved you. You are loved, Evan. You are loved. Perfectly Able: A new ride
http://perfectlyable.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-ride.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2009. A few months ago, Joshua's physical therapist with Help Me Grow filed an application with AmTryke for an adaptive tricycle for Joshua. A week ago I got the call that it was ready and today his physical therapist came by the house to drop it off. Joshua LOVES it. It took him less than two seconds to figure out how to use it and I have a strong suspicion that he would've been content to sleep on it tonight had we not gotten him off! Our local chapter, Greenebucs. Way to go, Joshua!

Fearfully and Wonderfully Mad. June 22, 2015 · 8:50 pm. Frank’s June 2015 Update. Dear Saints and Aints,. During the height of the summer some of my friends circulated a cartoon called God’s Kitchen . It showed God sitting in his kitchen and from his oven smoke and flames billowed out. An angel asked him, Lord what are you cooking? He replied, Nagpur! Though an oft repeated warning should be heeded: He who lives by the medical book [or in this case Mr. Google] may die of a spelling mistake. The summer we...
