Feed Dogs Down: February 2015
http://feeddogsdown.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world! Friday, February 27, 2015. Pics from my group. My favorite quilt group met this past week, so here are some pics from our meeting! Rachel has cleaned out her quilt room and is now finishing many of the UFOs she found. This is a bowtie table topper. Rachel made these two penny rugs from wool. These are four sheep blocks made with wools that Rachel made. Rachel used bright batiks to make this quilt and used fleece on the back. It was a free pattern she got from Moda.

BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world! Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Here are the fun show and tell pics from my group's meeting in October. Sherry made this fun Halloween pillow. Darla made a bunch of quilts to give away as donations again. Darla, you're so awesome for always doing this! Darla said she's pretty sure she's gonna die with the most fabric! Haha She hasn't seen the all the rest of our stashes. Darla made this one too and said she used clips for binding and it was a great tip that she learned.

BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world! Monday, November 4, 2013. Here are the show and tell pics from our meeting in October. I've also posted them in my group's blog, Material Girls Idaho. With a little more detail about the meeting. This is my latest. I made a scrap quilt from my ethnic fabrics and used the brick pattern. I put flannel on the back so it will get used often in our family. Rachel and Corrie did a demo of how to make treat pops! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Something to think about.

BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world! Friday, December 13, 2013. My little group had our annual Christmas meeting this week. We all brought something to share for a brunch. It was scrumptious. Jeri also showed us a fun technique for making gift cards and envelopes using tissue paper. Below are the pics:. Gingerbread mini muffins with lemon glaze. 15 tsp. soda. 1/4 tsp. cloves. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 dark brown sugar. 1 stick unsalted butter, melted. While still warm, spoon lemon glaze over the top. 2 T corn syrup.

Sisterhood of the Travelling Block. Trixie Belden – Road Trip New Orleans. On: July 17, 2016. I found some great fabrics at Fabric Chicks in Minden, NV. I also added a couple pieces from my stash. This afternoon we traced our pattern on to freezer paper, Misty Fused our fabric, cut the pieces out, put them down on our background fabric, stuck them down, trimmed the background, added some interest to opposing corners, and had ourselves a quilt top! A finish for baby! On: June 14, 2016. On: February 7, 2016.

Sisterhood of the Travelling Block. Trixie Belden – Road Trip New Orleans. Blogger’s Quilt Festival – Fall 2014. I’m actually sewing! On: August 11, 2014. I know, I’ve been away for a while. Sometimes, life happens! My awesome husband hung my design wall for me today – we improvised and hung a curtain rod. I made 2 sleeves in my flannel – 1 for the curtain rod and one for a rod to weight the bottom. I put up one of the blocks, so he could see how the design wall works:. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Hence, there hasn’t been anything new to read here. And, I feel badly about that for the 1 or 2 people who might stop by. I’m still working on the “Love” quilt. It’s 1/2 quilted. I may or may not finish it before we move to the house. Oh, what house, you ask? We’re building a house! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commenting us...

So far, 2015 is off to a good-ish start, though. I finished the last of the blocks for the quilt I’m working on, and laid them out on my design floor. Rion put his stamp of approval on the layout. Sisterhood of the Travelling Block. Trixie Belden – Road Trip New Orleans. Sisterhood of the Travelling Block. I am lucky enough to be part of a small group of quilters who are doing a “round robin” block exchange. We each chose a theme and made the first block. Each month we exchange blocks and are responsible for 12 square inches in another person’s quilt. Here are the November blocks. If the new block wasn’t ready, the picture hasn’t been changed (alphabetical order):. Celia - My block is center top.

BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world! Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Here we are at the end of another year. Looking back at the Material Girls Idaho blog it's evident we were busy, happy and productive. What a great group of friends and talented women that I get to meet with and be inspired by each month! Diane made these cute fabric ABC's for children.
