Feeding The Fish Sticks: Balloon Birthday Party on a Budget

http://www.feedingthefishsticks.blogspot.com/2014/02/balloon-birthday-party-on-budget.html

Feeding The Fish Sticks. And All Things Homemaking. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Balloon Birthday Party on a Budget. Ruth had her first ever friend party when she turned 9. As funny as that was to me, it also struck me how important it is to actually keep the Birthday Boy/Girl in mind as we go about planning parties. Had I really thought about the personality of my daughter, I would not have gone out with a loud, fun, crazy party with lots of girls. The front door was decorated with a cloud and streamers ...

Feeding The Fish Sticks: January 2014

http://www.feedingthefishsticks.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Feeding The Fish Sticks. And All Things Homemaking. Thursday, January 23, 2014. My stockpile has been dwindling since I have not been couponing. Today I went to CVS to help fill up our stash. Laundry detergent, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes were all on my list. My total was $112. I handed her my coupons and paid $77 out of pocket. I got $15 ECB back for my next visit. Now that's good savings! Monday, January 13, 2014. I haven't used coupons in well over 3 months. Well, it worked!

Feeding The Fish Sticks: Lost & Found....The Sequel

http://www.feedingthefishsticks.blogspot.com/2014/01/lost-foundthe-sequel.html

Feeding The Fish Sticks. And All Things Homemaking. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Lost and Found. The Sequel. You might be wondering how my Lost and Found box turned out. Well, it worked! And it's still working. After my box filled up, one Saturday I told the kids it was Clean-out-the-Lost-and-Found-Box Day. If their items were not claimed and paid for, then they would be donated to Goodwill. I made a list of the amount of money they owed to reclaim their things. Others wanted (or needed) to work it off.

The McGehee Family: Love is...

http://mcgeheefamily.blogspot.com/2014/02/love-is.html

Tuesday, February 11. In the midst of a culture filled with mixed up ideas of what love is and a place where seeking self- pleasure is encouraged, it's so important that we encourage ourselves in truth. What is love really? The kids and I have been reading 1 Corinthians during breakfast time. It's so cool how we stumbled upon this book and now this chapter right in the middle of valentines week. Not planned at all! My favorite part of homeschooling. Impromptu projects! Jonathan and Rebekah McGehee.

Feeding The Finicky: Recipes for Kids

Feeding The Finicky: Recipes for Kids. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. We have a winner! One thing that has seemed to slipped my mind with this quest of finding new foods that the kids will try (and possibly like) is the art of simplicity. I've been so focused on flavor for them that I've forgotten to focus on the simple. So this recipe is my own from what was in the pantry. 2 lg cloves garlic, finely chopped. 1/4 c good olive oil. 1-28oz can of imported Italian chef's cut or chopped canned tomatoes. I don'...

Sunday tea wouldn’t be the same without a freshly baked treat. These scones are light and fluffy as well as inexpensive. For a real treat serve with clotted cream and jam or freshly sliced strawberries. I don’t eat dairy and I can attest that these taste l o v e l y. Smeared with just jam or fruit spread. 1 teaspoons cream of tartar. 150g margarine (I use vitalite).
