Feeding the Rich: Part II Day 259: November 5, 2010 (birthday lunch with the poor, and rolling nowhere . . .)

Sunday, November 7, 2010. Part II Day 259: November 5, 2010 (birthday lunch with the poor, and rolling nowhere . . .). I tell you all of this because someone recently asked me why I was interested in homeless people. And since I've been reading Ted Conover's book about railroad riding tramps and hoboes (tramps work, hoboes just ride, bums do neither),. The scene in the Soup Bowl is similar to my. He's screwed, I think, but I'm glad he has a place for community and food. If we're not going to make room fo...

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Part II Day 148: July 17, 2010 (dividing carrots by streets, and the white shoes that nearly took mine away). EDD Check: $250 per week ($750 balance left in award). Money Raised for Bhutanese Family: $1,300 (only $100 left to reach our goal). Mexican Interlude Part II:. Theft is the product of desire. As in you have something I want, not necessarily. Newspaper baron and his wife were kidnapped. A serial rapist targeted foreign women (Americans). I feel relatively safe. I look out ...

Feeding the Rich: Part II Day 196: September 3, 2010 (living in a song, rubber necking on the turkey necks, and locating the homeless)

Friday, September 3, 2010. Part II Day 196: September 3, 2010 (living in a song, rubber necking on the turkey necks, and locating the homeless). Today," and when, after saying it again a few minutes later, the other guy next to me says, "You eatin' like a bear today.". I called the other day to ask about volunteering, and Amy said, "We're on Greensboro, right between the Piggly Wiggly and Church's Chicken." I've only heard of Piggly Wigglys through. But the tornado happened in Tuscaloosa last Wednesday. Normal life stopped. And then people acted out Winthrop's vision, especially the part about a community in peril:. Untitled: A Work In Progress. My writings. my thoughts. my works in progress. Documentary uncovers scars of Vietnam. It’s well after midnight by the time Oscar Soliz clicks off his lamps and shuts down his computer. His brown eyes are strained, his neck and back are stiff, his hands tingle. He rubs his salt-and-pepper beard; it’s time for bed. The documentary opens with images and narration explaining the politics of the Vietnam War, the lives lost and the toll it took on men such as Brown. 8220;Hmm, lem...

The posting was placed on the Blackhorse 11. Armored Cavalry Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. On a sunny Florida Sunday Sandra and Terry sat poolside and shared 43-year-old memories&...

Learning to navigate, take bearings and use a map. April 22, 2012. Given my liking for going off into the hills for a few hours on my own, sometimes late into a summer evening and sometimes in bad conditions, I thought it was probably about time I learned how to use a compass correctly. I booked on an Introduction To Navigation. We then started using our compasses to find some small ring contours we had identified on the map earlier. Working in pairs, we learned about leapfrogging, where you use anot...

Feeding the Roberts Boys. Friday, January 6, 2012. Found this recipe on Pintrest and tried it last night. My whole family loved it! I served it with a side of Jasmine rice. 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-1/2” pieces. 1 ½ cups corn starch. 1 cup panko bread crumbs - I ended up using about 2 cups. 2 eggs, beaten - I ended up needing 3. 188; teaspoon salt. 188; teaspoon pepper. 1 ½ cups water. Feeding the Roots | Our family's journey towards cooking more and eating out less

Our family's journey towards cooking more and eating out less. I tried this recipe for the first time over this past Christmas Eve. In just a few short weeks, it’s become a staple side dish in our family. It’s easy and tastes wonderful! Delicious Mac and Cheese. 8 oz elbow macaroni. 15 oz small curd cottage cheese. 8 oz sour cream. 2 cups shredded sharp. 2-3 toasted slices of bread for the crumb topping or the equivalent plain bread crumbs. Apple Pork Chops with Rice. Bone-in pork chops (center cut).
