Published September 18, 2007 11:45 AM. In October 2005, just before timber harvest plan 1-05-097 HUM first began, the Nanning Creek watershed was abundant with springs and creeks. Now many of the springs are washed-out mudslides, and several of the tributary streams to Nanning are inundated by gushes of coho salmon egg-smothering silt.

SPOONER TREESIT: August 2007
http://spoonertreesit.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Sing out your praises for the old-growth forest. Knowing many creatures will join in the chorus. For these forests so grand are rooted in time. With rhythms of life and an eternal sublime. Towering trees with secrets to share. Providing so much if you know what they bare. Marbled murrelets that nest on its branches. Hide deep within to lessen the chances. That their young may not be eaten by others. So they may once fly with their mothers. Slowing erosion and the growing breeze.
