Monday, January 21, 2008. I think some more brainstorming needs to happen. Knowing the history of Vegas and what was the reason for it starting might help me to better understand the local culture. I'm interested in "Boomburbs" also which is a term used to define Vegas. Any thoughts? January 22, 2008 at 7:15 AM. The one thing I always hear you mention about Vegas is that there is no focus on the locals. I think thats really interesting. Whats keeping them there? Would it require a change in development?
