Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair!
Foghorn: I'd like to exercise, but I don't have the equipment.
http://fibrofoghorn.blogspot.com/2010/02/id-like-to-exercise-but-i-dont-have.html
Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair! Friday, February 19, 2010. I'd like to exercise, but I don't have the equipment. Meet Alexander Zass, the Amazing Samson, once billed as "the toughest man in the world" and known for doing isometrics and lifting small horses. So I started doing isometric exercises today. Not directly because of Mr. Zass, although I have to say this is a pretty impressive display, but because I'm sick and tired of feeling like a pile of poo. Have you been exercising?
Foghorn: July 2010
http://fibrofoghorn.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair! Saturday, July 10, 2010. I need a change. Come see me at Fresh Berries. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia twelve years ago. I've chosen to live those years largely unmedicated. You won't find a record of my medical journey on this blog- mainly because I don't have one, but also because I'm not a doctor. What I am. You also might want to visit my other blog, The Artful Day-Jobber:.
Foghorn: Wake up, Durga, wake up...oooOOooo
http://fibrofoghorn.blogspot.com/2010/02/wake-up-durga-wake-upoooooooo.html
Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair! Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Wake up, Durga, wake up.oooOOooo. I think the person in this picture is dead. But I'm not, and I have to remember that. It's a funny thing about blogs. You write for whatever reason, and you never really know who, if anyone, is reading your words. You just do it because.oh, who knows? For me, it's sheer delight bordering on compulsion. I love it. So you know I've been out of it when I'm silent for so long. On my other blog.
Foghorn: March 2010
http://fibrofoghorn.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair! Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Well, that was an experiment gone awry! Good heavens - two days of isometrics and I could hardly walk! I'm hardly going to start over now. In another whirlwind decision, I'm moving to Missouri next week to live near my mother. Plans are made, packing is underway, and I'm actually starting to look forward to the beautiful drive. Up to California, east through Yuma, north to Flagstaff, and turn right. I've been explaining this ...
Foghorn: When blessings pour in.
http://fibrofoghorn.blogspot.com/2010/01/when-blessings-pour-in.html
Shining through the fog of fibromyalgia, with flair! Tuesday, January 19, 2010. When blessings pour in. This is not a picture of Mexico, but it could be. Rain poured down on us last night and more is expected for the next ten days, with a brief respite over the weekend. I dozed on and off until after midnight, getting up every half-hour to check the floor with a flashlight. The rain seems to have abated after that - or maybe it was the patch job - and I finally got some sleep. What I am. It was the darn...

The Artful Day-Jobber: ...And I Did NOT Get Wrapped Around a Pole
http://artfuldayjobber.blogspot.com/2009/10/and-i-did-not-get-wrapped-around-pole.html
Living a creative life . with a job on the side. Friday, October 30, 2009. And I Did NOT Get Wrapped Around a Pole. Ll I can think of to say right now is.I DID IT! Yes, I just sent in my first entry to my first writing contest. I stopped dusting the studio and rewrote Chapter One. I grit my teeth like nobody's business and made changes I didn't want to make, and after all I'm very pleased. Fancy that. At my first Christian Writers Guild. The part I was hanging on to, which didn't help the situation. ...

The Artful Day-Jobber: It's About Time
http://artfuldayjobber.blogspot.com/2009/11/its-about-time.html
Living a creative life . with a job on the side. Monday, November 16, 2009. Oday, I wrote a writing plan. Somehow that just doesn't communicate the complexity of the thing, or the difficulty. Allocating dates and times to tasks a half-year in advance is not easy. There are so many variables, so many unknowns. Here was precious little I could find on the Internet to give a bird's-eye view and help me find a place to put my feet. Offers a series of. General articles on the business of writing. Inally havin...

The Artful Day-Jobber: August 2009
http://artfuldayjobber.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Living a creative life . with a job on the side. Monday, August 31, 2009. Used to think my life was a straight line. Now I go for round because it's easier to find the center. Ne of the toughest things about working a day job at home is keeping a balance between what you want to do and what you have to do. Personally, I want nothing more than to follow my nose through bags of unfinished creative projects. Abandon me on a desert island with nothing but leftover yarn and a pen. Heaven! Okay, a little over ...

The Artful Day-Jobber: Couching the Golden Thread
http://artfuldayjobber.blogspot.com/2009/11/couching-golden-thread.html
Living a creative life . with a job on the side. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Couching the Golden Thread. Ince I started spending my time creating a day job, I haven't touched brush to paper and hardly strung a bead. In other words, I'm missing color. I love working with words, but there comes a point where I feel like grabbing a crayon and coloring in the O's. Fortunately, it doesn't take much to bring the color back. If you find yourself going through a time when your art is hard to get to, you might ...
The Artful Day-Jobber: Just Your Ordinary Extraordinary Life
http://artfuldayjobber.blogspot.com/2009/12/just-your-ordinary-extraordinary-life.html
Living a creative life . with a job on the side. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Just Your Ordinary Extraordinary Life. Ometimes life is so extraordinary that no amount of theory can make it do what you want. I wish I could say that I stayed strong, creative, and joyful throughout, but I didn't. Powering through was all I could do. Now that I'm resting my aching heart and limbs, I feel rather like this little bird: delicate, tentative, and solitary. The work was done long ago and I remember doing it. Hol...

Fibro Fog Flash Fiction. Small novels, big tales. About Fibro Fog Flash Fiction. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. I see the violence every day. I avoid, keep out the way. A misunderstood order, a vague face. I’m just a child, I have no voice. I’m a nothing, have no choice. Who can I turn to, wish I knew. Who will help me, if not you. 8216;...

My Journey Out of the Fibro Fog
My Journey Out of the Fibro Fog. Saturday, October 11, 2014. Hopefully by now you have read the previous blogs and know a little more about my story and understand what Fibromyalgia is or isn’t…. So if you are ready to move on, then I would like to talk a little about Triggers today. Triggers are emotional, physical and environmental conditions that can cause the symptoms of fibromyalgia to “flare up” or get worse than the normal everyday way you might experience symptoms. So one of the keys to controlli...

What are fibrofolliculomas? | Fibrofolliculoma.info
9 in 10 people with BHD develop skin lesions, and of these, fibrofolliculomas are the most common type. They are benign tumours of the hair follicle and appear as pale skin bumps on the face, neck, ears and upper body. People with BHD can have anywhere from a few to hundreds of these skin lesions. They usually start to appear in a person’s 20s and 30s and can get worse over time. Some clinicians think that fibrofolliculomas and trichodiscomas are simply different versions of the same type of skin lesion.
