Mama Needs A Book Contract: July 2009
http://mamaneedsabookcontract.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Growing into my very geeky job. When this blog first started I'd *just* been accepted into a University course in Creative writing and Criminology. I dropped the 'criminology' part, and focussed, instead, on Psychology for the five 'spare slots' that I had. That was just under two years ago - and last year, around this time, I finally worked out what I wanted to do when I graduated. How's your summer looking? The writer in me. The writing I love. Saturday, August 1, 2009. Birthin' a Book and Lessons Learned. A few weeks ago Kai and I were discussing "having a baby" and "writing/publishing a book". She asked about why I made the analogy about birthing a baby and a book. So here is a little more discussion on that topic. Let's see how we make a baby. (Sorry, no videos for this one! Girl meets Boy and They Fall In Love. They Get Married (hey, its my analogy so we're going down the traditional path! They have a honeymoon and love each other A LOT.

My thoughts and interests. Things I've learned. Tuesday, May 15, 2007. The Eurovision Song Contest was held this year in Helsinki, and what a wonderful job we did with it! The show was brilliant, and the overall quality of songs was quite good. I'm slightly tired of it all right now, but I just want to say that I absolutely loved the winner Marija Serifovic and her song Molitva. So here it is:. There's also ESC Webradio. On the web, so you can watch the whole final, if you want to. Posted by Anu @ 02:20.

Mama Needs A Book Contract: Touch Typing Typical?
http://mamaneedsabookcontract.blogspot.com/2009/03/touch-typing-typical.html
Monday, March 2, 2009. Posted by Linda Sherwood. I am a touch typist, which means I can type without looking at the keyboard. It has been years since my typing skills have been timed, but I suspect that I am well over 100 words per minute for typing, and pretty close to that when I compose as well. But I wonder if I am the norm among writers? Are most writers touch typists? Or am I strange? And am I *really* a touch typist? I know it wasn't that long ago that I read a post by Jenny Crusie. I am a Writer.

My thoughts and interests. Things I've learned. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. I've studied three years of Chinese, but I've forgotten just about everything I've learned. I never learned enough that it would've been useful for much anything, but I have a thing for languages. I think it's kind of magical that you can scribble something on a piece of paper and it actually means. Something. I never get tired of wondering that basic thing. Written words fascinate me.
