Laura en Latinoamérica: Journal, March 25

Monday, 8 April 2013. Journal, March 25. I do not exaggerate the plight of Afro-Peruvian women in order to victimize them; nor do I want to romanticize their lives and paint them as being happy despite their poverty. They have great ambitions for their lives, families, and communities, and they are moving and shaking society with their powerfully strategic campaigns. Being honest about the enormity of their challenges makes their success all the more impressive. One of my principal questions going into t...

Kevin in Burkina Faso. A Journey to Burkina Faso. Why Should You Care? Sunday, June 17, 2012. So this is reverse culture shock. 56 days have passed since I touched back down in Canada. Seems almost like I never left. Seems as though I didn't experience what I experienced. I didn't see what I saw. I didn't live that life halfway across the globe. Reverse culture shock ,. June 18, 2012 at 1:38 AM. Fascinating - thanks for sharing. The last paragraph was particularly inspiring. June 20, 2012 at 1:00 AM.

Laura en Latinoamérica: September 2012
http://laurainlatinamerica.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, 8 September 2012. It's hard to believe that I leave for Peru on Monday! August was a whirlwind of road trips to Wyoming and Winnipeg, and I arrived back in Waterloo last weekend with a mile-long to-do list. But ready or not, on Monday I'll be rolling out of bed before sunrise to catch an early morning flight to Lima, Peru. So tonight I'm enjoying some quality time with my family, and the rest of my packing will have to wait until tomorrow. It will all get done, right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

https://everythingsproblematic.wordpress.com/2012/11/18/reclaiming-cunt-too-radical
Sounds Like a Personal Problem. Reclaiming Cunt: Too Radical? November 18, 2012. This is the latest piece in the Reclaiming Cunt. Series; read more here. I want to rant about something. So there’s this guy. Someone I consider a good friend of mine. To my pleasure and surprise, he read my article series. First of all, just let me say this: I don’t expect many individuals to agree with me. I don’t expect people to read my shit and be like, Ermahgerd. Prepared to accept new information and perspectives....
