Superkids Charity: August 2015
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 28, 2015. In two weeks we will be heading to Shanghai, the first stop on our #SuperkidsSeptember2015 trip. Our itinerary looks even busier than normal this time. We will be visiting 11 orphanages in 5 provinces in China and 2 orphanages in Taiwan. That means a total of 13 orphanages in 16 days! We will be traveling almost non-stop in China with very few (if any) nights that we stay in the same city more than 1 night. Don't forget to 'like' it to get updates), Twitter. Since we now have a p...

Superkids Charity: Meet Kirby!
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015/05/meet-kirby.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Kirby is a little boy who is 7 years old. The first thing you will notice about him is his dazzling smile! Well, that and he may surprise you by dropping an English word or two. He has such a vibrant personality. He speaks very clearly and likes to sing. He sang several songs for us, including Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Kirby walks with a walker due to possible cerebral palsy. His arms are very strong since he also does a lot of crawling! He moves amazingly fast! An imperfect st...

Monday, August 3, 2015. Update 10/28/2015: Paige's file is now on the shared list! We would still love to speak with anyone interested in adopting her! Paige is a very special, beautiful 11 year old girl with a special story. Paige was first seen by Superkids volunteers in 2012. She was using a walker that was way too small for her and yet she was so sweet and helpful in every way that she could be. In June of 2014 I was there when she got her new walker! Paige has spina bifida. She is kind and sweet...

Superkids Charity: Introducing Jude
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015/05/introducing-jude.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Jude was the first child we saw at his orphanage. He was accompanied by several beaming nannies. As they snapped photos and proudly told us of his accomplishments it became quite obvious that he is a great favorite among the staff. And, I have to say, we could understand why they would love him! He has an outgoing personality and a lovely smile. He is smart and engaging and doesn't let anything slow him down. His hands are also affected, but again, he compensates so well! Wordless ...

Superkids Charity: April 2015
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. It's Your Turn, Andy! When we were in China we got to tell Andy the fabulous news that he has a family! If you are not familiar with his story you can read about it here. It has been a story with a lot of twists and turns, and even though Andy did not know about any of the things leading up to this moment, we did, so it made it even more special to be able to tell him that he will have a family. And his reaction was the best! It's your turn now, Andy!

Superkids Charity: Special Focus: Congenital Limb Difference
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015/08/special-focus-congenital-limb-difference.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Special Focus: Congenital Limb Difference. I am constantly amazed by the resilience and amazing resourcefulness of the children we have met in China with congenital limb difference. These kids consistently find a way to get things done. They have never experienced their body any differently, so they intuitively find ways to make it work—to make everything they want to happen, happen. What is Congenital Limb Difference? What might treatment look like? Who should we get involved?

Superkids Charity: Just Look At Lucas! {Under Consideration}
http://superkidscharity.blogspot.com/2015/08/just-look-at-lucas.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Just Look At Lucas! Lucas is a darling little boy who just turned 2. His nannies describe him as clever, cute, and happy. He loves to cuddle and has the most charming little laugh! When we met him in April he very quickly figured out that when he dropped one of the balls it would light up and flash. He loved it! He is walking independently, walks up and down steps, and can throw a ball. He bangs blocks and likes to scribble with crayons. Could Lucas be your son? Just Look At L...
