Low Budget + Big Name = BAD IDEA | The Horror Online
https://thehorroronline.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/low-budget-big-name-bad-idea
Low Budget Big Name = BAD IDEA. October 3, 2014. Except Val Kilmer, Val Kilmer’s just giving it away these days, put it away Val. Jesse Eisenberg Camp Hell (2010). Probably the most high profile case of this sort of practice in recent years, Lionsgate. Eisenberg quickly called his lawyers and sued asking for three million in compensation (more than the film cost to make). Eisenberg’s camp (see what I did there) had this to say about the debacle ;. Well it’s good to know that you’re doing it for us the lo...

Annabelle Review | The Horror Online
https://thehorroronline.wordpress.com/2014/11/03/annabelle-review
November 3, 2014. James Wan’s Summer 2013 hit ‘The Conjuring’ was a real tease. It played mercilessly with it’s audience, telegraphing jump scares and only to present a dead lull that snatched the audience’s breath just before its denouncement. Annabelle is not a bad film, it is a passable horror with some very effective jump scares but considering the effectiveness of the titular doll’s short appearance in The Conjuring’s opening, it could have been so much more. 3 out of 5. Halloween Party Music Picks!

Ouija Review | The Horror Online
https://thehorroronline.wordpress.com/2014/11/10/ouija-review
November 10, 2014. This is going to get ugly. Ouija was funded by Hasbro and produced by Platinum Dunes.Michael Bay’s production company and released on Halloween. Yes it is a thinly veiled marketing scheme masquerading as a movie and yes it is a little heartbreaking that such a creepy concept was given such poor treatment. Later they visit the same house at night to begin their seance and suddenly the trees protrude with barren branches that stencil the moonlight sky. There is no sense here. Overall, it ...

Why Horror Remakes Need To Stop Immediately. October 23, 2014. Picture the scene it’s the year 2017 and a death is occurring, this death is not untimely, in fact it’s long overdue. The Saw. Franchise has dragged its bloated 3D manipulated body into a dark cold corner to die. It no longer remembers why it exists, who created it or who will even mourn it’s passing. With its last dying breath it rasps out the words Dear God.please.please don’t remake me. All of these films brought together people from the f...
