'na cica de vino.: lessons on making a proper Schioppettino
http://croosadabilia.blogspot.com/2011/02/lessons-on-making-proper-schioppettino.html
Giovedì 10 febbraio 2011. Lessons on making a proper Schioppettino. Gatto di Cialla, sotto l'albero. Wednesday, 9th of February Day 3, after una degustazione ganzissima. With felluga we traveled close by our Agriturismo Il Roncal. And stopped at the ever so mythical lands of Ronchi di Cialla. We could all see the excitement on Jeremy's. The sun was shining and stepping out of the COF van, walking onto the lawn of the family house, you just got that feeling. Wow this is going to be fucking awsome! I enjoy...

'na cica de vino.: 1971 Barolo Fontanafredda at Maialino NYC
http://croosadabilia.blogspot.com/2014/10/1971-barolo-fontanafredda-at-maialino.html
Lunedì 20 ottobre 2014. 1971 Barolo Fontanafredda at Maialino NYC. Uncorking this 1971 Fontana Fredda Barolo this weekend at Maialino in New York City. Was a bit like opening a coffin in The Langhe and experiencing Nebbiolo zombies awakening from the dead to slowly climb into the glass. Na cica de vino. 24 ottobre 2014 03:09. How much did this rotten corpse smelling/tasting experience cost? Na Cica de Vino. 24 ottobre 2014 08:33. Mega deals over at MaialinoNYC. Iscriviti a: Commenti sul post (Atom).

'na cica de vino.: Barolo bar 2014 at Maialino NYC
http://croosadabilia.blogspot.com/2014/11/barolo-bar-at-maialino-nyc.html
Sabato 8 novembre 2014. Barolo bar 2014 at Maialino NYC. What better way is there to spend a late afternoon in New York than looking out into Gramercy Park. And tasting through this epic list of Barolo by the glass at Bar Maialino. The 1999 Bartolo Mascarello. Was drinking the best for me. 1999 was a classic vintage in the Langhe and the consistency I have found with Bartolo Mascarello Barolo's is unmatched by any other producer in my opinion. They have also bottled an insane 2003. Was showing a very pro...

Venerdì 22 agosto 2014. Remembering Paolo Rapuzzi of Ronchi di Cialla. Pouring some Ribolla out for the lost. I Enjoyed a bottle of 2012 Ribolla Gialla. From Ronchi di Cialla. On a New York City beach earlier this week in memory of Paolo Rapuzzi. The legendary producer of indigenous varieties of Friuli who passed away on August 13th. This wine was showing a blazing minerality that day which I have watched open up over the past year since it's release. Thank you Paolo for letting the COF2011 crew.

'na cica de vino.: Tokyo. Remembering the two best culinary experiences of my life, in one day.
http://croosadabilia.blogspot.com/2014/03/tokyo-remembering-two-best-culinary.html
Venerdì 7 marzo 2014. Tokyo Remembering the two best culinary experiences of my life, in one day. The flawless fatty tuna at Sushi Dai in the Tsukiji Fish Market. The two single best culinary/dining experiences of my life at 29 years old happened in one day in Tokyo, Japan. The first. Was a sushi breakfast at 8 am in a tiny little place and the second happened 12 hours later in a fine dining restaurant. The following is a journal entry from 100 Rolls. During that magically tasteful day in Tokyo. Still on...

Wine Without Numbers: May 2015
http://winewithoutnumbers.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
One man's comments on the wine he has experienced. The blog focuses on the essence of wine and food, not how many points or stars it receives. The opinions are mine and should be taken only as that, an opinion not gospel. Like many collectors, initially I was very much influenced by wine ratings. I purchased wines based on points, even if I had never tasted the wine. And it was much worse than that. How’s that for lunacy? As a result my cellar grew in all directions while my palate narrowed. Group met re...
