Saturday, October 19, 2013. Did You Know You Can Make Your Own Brown Sugar? Did you know you can make your own brown sugar? Since I have been working full time, I don't do as much baking as I used to. So tonight when I wanted to make cookies, I found I was out of brown sugar. Thinking there is no real substitute I Googled it anyway. And I was happily surprised to find that brown sugar is nothing but white sugar and molasses.
