Test standard is designed to identify the flash point of a fuel of interest. Identifying flash point can be useful in spotting potential hazards associated with materials under certain high temperature environments. The standard is used to identify the physical properties of the materials, products, or assemblies in question and determine at what temperature will the object in question flash over with flame. The test is performed using a Cleveland open cup apparatus.

We have hoods to handle fires of multiple sizes, have a reconfigurable room that can be adjusted to multiple sizes or into a multi-room hall configuration. In 1985 the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) performed a study to establish a bench-scale test method to determine the ignition and flame spread properties of materials.
