King Ash Bay - May 2010. Sunday, May 30, 2010. King Ash Bay - April 2010. It's getting and is COLD in Port Lincoln, we have three blankets on, plus a sleeping bag and the WABSTO is working over time. Time to head North! Oyster farming to be revisited later in the year, along with LNP and some KGW. My brother Neil did some last minute repairs to a bent chine bar, which finally failed after being dragged thru bog holes, creek beds and over sand ridges. Brunette Downs rest area our last stop before KAB.

Departing Geues mid morning heading for Yorke Peninsular and the River Land. 1hr 40 minutes from camp site to Eyre Hwy, again no tree pruning required. Pulled into the old Yalata servo to top up the drinking water from the rain water tanks and inflate tires. A vehicle that had passed us earlier was looking for 'FUEL' - more about Dino and Frank later! An easy walk up onto the rock.

Transport on top of the Landcruiser with a Tinnie Tosser, an electric winch system for loading and unloading, and a folding trailer for local transport.

FISHABOUT - June 06 Corroborrie Bilabong N.T. Saturday, September 8, 2007. May - June 06 - Corroborrie Bilabong. Departing King Ash Bay we had 12 days before out flights back to Thailand. Toured 1,180k's to Darwin, checked out the storage facilities, then headed bush again to Corroborrie Bilabong, 12ok's east of Darwin. Due to the exceptional wet season we were able to get access to the Mary River system. Our camp site, only one other camper during our week here. Sue's not so sure about this!
