Caffeine and Lesson Plans: Beliefs into Action
http://caffeineandlessonplans.blogspot.com/2015/07/beliefs-into-action.html
Every single teacher I know came into the profession for a meaningful reason. No one that I have met has ever said "oh, I decided to teach because I wasn't sure what else to do" or "I don't know, I just ended up here! In the way that sometimes people in other professions sometimes say. Similarly, I think we all have philosophies and beliefs about education- but I personally feel as though perhaps I don't talk about them enough to my students and their families. When I saw Whitney's. This is so critical!

Not really school related but crafting none the less! First up is a wreath I made for football season! All you need is a wreath and lots of ribbon. I tied a long ribbon at the top. This is what I used to hang the wreath. Then I tied the ribbons in double knots. Around and around I go. To check out more!

4th Grade 4ever: I Found a New Cool Tool and it's Free!
http://4thgrade4ever.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-found-new-cool-tool-and-its-free.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. I Found a New Cool Tool and it's Free! Problem: I've used a bunch of online and manual timers and they work ok. But this online timer adds two cool new features that I haven't seen before. My first problem is that if kids don't look at the screen, they don't see the countdown. My second problem is interuptions. I give 2 minute multiplication tests. It seems like someone always someone walks in after I start the timer. I can't wait to try this out! Posted by LeAnn Leyden.

Finishing up the Week of Giving Thanks with "S". I've really enjoyed linking up this week with Blog Hoppin. It's good to reflect on life and take stock of who and where you are and where you are going. Today's letter "S" is brought to you by Sincerity. This is a word that I have lived by pretty much all of my life. It was one of my main "requirements" in a husband. It's something I look for in my students and something I am conscious about being with my students. I would also like to sincerely thank.
