Hugo's tried and true Kwik Sew jeans. It is very handy to have a pattern I can sew up, without fitting. I altered the pattern previously, lowering the waist and pinching out some hip fullness but leaving the ease through the legs. I added back pocket flaps and double back belt carriers. Mandatory pose for Nana Deb.

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Our beautiful girl is here. Beatrix Ruby, weighing in at 6lb 9oz. I am blessed with easy, enjoyable pregnancies. I get the odd tummy upset but on the whole, it is very pleasant, for the most. Except for the itching. During my pregnancies I 'flirt' with Obstetric Cholestasis. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Olly, olly all out are in free-o! I made another Hide and Seek dress. This time for Tilly. Sewn in Matilda's favourite fabric, velvet. Slippery, thick, swear word inducing cotton velvet that required every seam to be hand basted before sewing. Size 4, with length. The velvet was all remnant pieces from my stash. There was just enough black. Matilda has signature heart shaped buttons but all I had was MoP which looked too delicate on the heavy cloth. Perfect for cuddling upwards.

I had not smocked for a year or more - but absolutely enjoyed the process again.
