Engineer No More!: November 2006
http://mbasalsera.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Finally, I'm an official MBA student at Georgetown University! Thursday, November 16, 2006. My application is submitted and complete. I am now officially "Under Review" by Stanford! Although the relief was short lived. Now I am back to anxiety. I have had my fingers permanently crossed since I submitted the application. I may have to have them surgically uncrossed once all of this is over :-). Posted by Rico's Mom. Tuesday, November 14, 2006. I uploaded them per their instructions though! For the moment,...

Engineer No More!: June 2008
http://mbasalsera.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Finally, I'm an official MBA student at Georgetown University! Thursday, June 26, 2008. I'm half way through my internship and roughly 15% through my internship project that I am supposed to present at the end of my summer here. That doesn't add up correctly now does it? So my internship.the jury is still out on how I feel about it. The location rocks.home sweet home. Telecommuting is pretty common place here. Very easy to work from home at minimum one day per week. You have pretty easy access to some pr...

Engineer No More!: Overwhelmed
http://mbasalsera.blogspot.com/2007/06/overwhelmed.html
Finally, I'm an official MBA student at Georgetown University! Thursday, June 21, 2007. They don't tell you in the interview that your assignments start the minute you send in your deposit check! Where is it because I can't seem to find it? Why exactly did I want to go back to school? Posted by Rico's Mom. I do feel the same way as you feel. Overwhelmed. But you will do just fine. Get sometime to relax during the summer and have a fresh start in August. Be sure to enjoy the chaos of life! For 30 days, 45...

poweryogi: Four Kings
http://poweryogi.blogspot.com/2007/07/four-kings.html
Friday, July 06, 2007. It has been my experience that, when it come to courses, choosing Professors matters more than the subject itself. This has been made more stark as I sit here and try to 'remember' what I actually learned in the two years past . and I have to say that not a great lot has actually stuck : I'm sure things will come back in context when they need to, but. Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics. Economics and Policy in the Telecom, Media and Technology Industries. Ronald S. Burt. The a...

Sunday, February 29, 2004. Why me, Lord? OK, so my London plans were foolish. Things didn't work out exactly as I thought they would. Work kept me from getting anything done on the essay the whole day thursday. So I spent the time on the flight outlining it. Got to my crappy hotel and - drumroll - the internet connection wouldn't work! So, I'm back in the game. But, it makes me wonder, why this stroke of luck? Posted by PowerYogi at 10:17 AM. One Goat, Please: Why The Hater Hates
http://onegoatplease.blogspot.com/2006/12/jerry-blank-has-funny-post-this-week-in.html
One Goat, Please. Yale SOM 2008, with a touch of trepidation. Why The Hater Hates. Jerry Blank has a funny post. This week in which he designs electives as a not-subtle way of mocking the annoying tendencies of first-years. I don't remember anybody talking about black cards or $1000 dinners - maybe this wasn't in the Green cohort - and though in general I like most 08ers, JB isn't far off. Along the same lines, here are some ideas for other electives in JB's catalogue:. Is It Time To Shut The Hell Up?

Engineer No More!: January 2007
http://mbasalsera.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Finally, I'm an official MBA student at Georgetown University! Friday, January 26, 2007. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised! Georgetown did such an amazing job with their all day Women in Business recruiting event! Everyone I met, alumni, current students, prospective students, Adcom. Was so nice and the school was so welcoming! At first I was little concerned that I wouldn't last through the entire day long event (10am-5pm! I can't remember the exact order of things (remember I took a red eye.
