Yes, that is a rosemary plant in full bloom that’s close to 4×4; that’s feet, not inches! Here these Mediterranean herbs are long lived perennials which become shrubs, unlike the puny annuals I try to grow in a single short season back home in Colorado. Gazpacho with herbed goat cheese toasts. September 15, 2016. This week’s recipe from “My Paris Kitchen” was a perfect selection for the end of summer. Jim and I stopped by the local farm stand to purchase some corn and I picked up everything needed for this wonderful recipe. After chopping all the veggies I thought it was a bit much, but Hubby said follow the recipe, and so I did. I hope he loves Gazpacho cause we have a “huge” amount. and I am not fond of raw veggies. Spiced meatballs with Sriracha sauce.

I poured the milk into a baking dish, covered it tightly with aluminum foil, and baked it in a water bath for 1-1/2 hours. Baked Eggs with Kale and Salmon. October 20, 2016. One of the more enjoyable things I remember from our trips to Paris over the years was having lunch in the local bistrot. There were many choices on the menu but for some reason we loved having eggs. It was served with a side of frites, a small basket of baguette slices and an individual pichette of wine. So delicious and always topped off with an espresso. Since I had ham slices and spinach on hand, I decided to use that instead of kale and smoked salmon.

After all the cooking in December it was nice to get an easy and quick recipe. We only had chives so that is what I used. I used 3 large eggs and I had this for lunch. A tip I learnt from a chef friend, when preparing chicken, is to season your chicken before you begin cooking it. Salt, pepper and good olive oil will do the trick!
