FlippinGardener: April 2009

http://flippingardener.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 30, 2009. It was just so nice to see the three kids harvesting and watering in the rain, skipping around from bed to bed like little pixies. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. The end of April sees sprouts galore! Sunday, April 26, 2009. We have certainly celebrated Earth Day here this week on our little garden plot. Right now I'm "watching" the Live Earth channel on dish network and am enjoying its mellow mix of oldies with a view of earth from their sat dish - kiddos think it's ultra cool. Now we...

FlippinGardener: March 2009

http://flippingardener.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 13, 2009. Saturday, March 7, 2009. Oh, what a night! I took a quick turn in the yard, dreaming of all the scents and sounds of the impending spring season. The soft hum of the hummingbirds buzzing in the sweet lilacs at midnight, the smell of dew as it drips off the limbs in the morning and the joy in the first harvest. Oh, what a night. Friday, March 6, 2009. Gorgeous day to be outdoors! Thursday, March 5, 2009. Good thing it will be dark soon. I'll run and get the bales tomorrow. Preston ...

FlippinGardener: House Painting

http://flippingardener.blogspot.com/2009/10/house-painting.html

Sunday, October 4, 2009. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We sow peas, radishes, leaf lettuce, and chives in February and early March near the honeysuckle on my neighbor's fence. This, plus the clover, marigolds, and other beneficials (my husband calls them weeds) in our yard help us attract bees into our garden. This, of course, insures good pollination for the veggies. FlippinGardener: My thoughts on Bread (and Beef and my very Best Buddies)

http://flippingardener.blogspot.com/2010/06/my-thoughts-on-bread-and-beef-and-my.html

Thursday, June 17, 2010. My thoughts on Bread (and Beef and my very Best Buddies). I decided to check my blog today and noticed a request for the Pecan Oat Bread recipe, and it got me thinking about bread. These days, anytime I bake or open a loaf of bread, I think of my sweet retriever, Nika. For eleven years, up until last weekend, anytime she heard the crinkle of the wrapper or caught a whiff of the oven door opening, she was into the kitchen lickety-split. She loved this crunchy, nutty loaf. Turn dou...

The Harp Family: Skateboarding & Tweens!

http://glharpfamily.blogspot.com/2009/03/skateboarding-tweens.html

Tuesday, March 10, 2009. The dreaded day of my boy wanting to skateboard has arrived. He lives and breathes it daily. I'd say he is outside practicing about 3 hours a day. He's getting quite good at it though, but I hate to watch him.fearing he will break a bone. It seems I write a little more about Hunter in this blog than I do Katelyn. Would you like to know the real reason behind that? Katelyn was in a Choir program at Church on Sunday morning.did I have my camera? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Book reports and Duck stamps. I'm so glad I'm not in school anymore. HA! It was only 4 paragraphs, and by the look of the outline, it needed to be about 3 pages. So I'm anxious to see what her grade is! Katelyn got a 100% on her report! I guess my online searching and memory of the movie actually worked out! We are very proud of him and his talent. The Harp Family: Valentines Day Part 2

http://glharpfamily.blogspot.com/2009/02/valentines-day-part-2.html

Monday, February 16, 2009. Valentines Day Part 2. Instead of the normal steak dinner for two, Greg and I took all the kids bowling. We took Katelyn, Hunter, Dominique, Hannah, Kaylee and Karlee. They all had a great time. We ordered pizza, burgers, potato skins and cheese sticks and everyone pigged out. Then the kids got tired of bowling, and asked if they could "play bowl".I had no idea what that meant, but soon, I figured it out. This is Hunter bowling between my legs.I was a little nervous.
