From just south of the Arctic Circle. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Days 10-17, Nome. I was a bit lazy in keeping up the blog this week, because there was so much going on here. I didn't want it to be a chore, which sometimes it is on this computer. Nome doesn't have DSL yet, as far as I can tell. Anyway, I'll attempt to be brief in wrapping up this year's trip. Lance Mackey and his team arrived on Tuesday.what a race he had! BluWarrior69 (S. Dunbar). Saturday, March 13, 2010. Days 8 and 9- From Homer to Nome.

From just south of the Arctic Circle. Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Alaska Trip March 14, 2006- Day 11. Today will be a hard one to beat in terms of fun and panoramic views. Before we arrived in Nome, Aunt Bonnie had bid upon (and won) a helicopter flight at an auction- a 30 minute ride in a million dollar helicopter. The helicopter is normally used for mail flights between mainland Alaska and Little Diomede island. The copter crew (L to R): "Cruddy" Bob Dunbar, Moi, Marci M.D., Sandy Mazen. Today/tonight t...

From just south of the Arctic Circle. Saturday, March 13, 2010. Days 8 and 9- From Homer to Nome. Alas, it was time to say goodbye to Homer. We lucked out and had a great drive from Homer back to Anchorage. We had some incredible views, all of which were suspiciously unphotographed? The flight gave us some good views of the Alaska Range:. After hanging out at cousin Pat and Sue's for some pizza and wine, we hit the sack late. BluWarrior69 (S. Dunbar). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A grind of blackf...

From just south of the Arctic Circle. Tuesday, January 10, 2006. A flock of hamsters. Indeed, you may wonder, "what's with the title? I'm not really known to have a "favorite" animal, however, I feel that the hamster. Comes pretty close (I'm not at liberty to reveal my other two "favorite" animals, lest I be forever labeled as a softy.) I've had a number of hamsters in my life (Mom tells me 5, but I'm pretty sure one or two more would be a fair guess), most notably " Pooky. Check, moy love). Squirrel?

Anchor Down, Thar's A Yarn A'Brewin'.Savvy? Thursday, October 25, 2007. We enjoyed a nice family outing to the local pumpkin patch last weekend. It was a beautiful, yet windy day out- but not nearly as hot as in some years past. As an added bonus this year, there was a pony ride. The kids got their first ride on a pony/horse and loved it! Have a great Halloween everyone and be safe! Sunday, October 7, 2007. Had a lazy drive home and then ordered in food from GoodFella's Italian restaurant for dinner.

Anchor Down, Thar's A Yarn A'Brewin'.Savvy? Sunday, October 7, 2007. After, we took the kids to McDonald's where we let the kids play for a long time in the inside playground. We then took a drive on up to just beyond the Nevada state line. The lake was beautiful. Had a lazy drive home and then ordered in food from GoodFella's Italian restaurant for dinner. Anchor Down, Thar's A Yarn A'Brewin'.Savvy? Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Everyone that knows me also knows that I have a crazy love for the ocean. I guess it's my parents' fault really, as they first introduced my big brother Sean and me to it as kids. Dad at the beach. Mom at the beach. Sean and I at the beach. We'd travel to the ocean every Labor Day and then usually one other time in summer for family vacations. My Dad would help my brother and me build sand castles:. We spent so many good times there.

Anchor Down, Thar's A Yarn A'Brewin'.Savvy? Friday, October 5, 2007. I protested- how could this be? It says on the website that she has 7 days left! Well, the lady informed me, Tara got sick.and we don't spend the money to help out those that are sick due to over-crowding in our facility and other expenses- so, she was gone. My new dog Tara- guess it was never meant to be. R.I.P. sweet Tara- I'm so sorry and sad that I didn't get to you in time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My brother Sean's blog.

Anchor Down, Thar's A Yarn A'Brewin'.Savvy? Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Fly on my faithful friend. Today, I had to say good-bye to one of my best ever friends, my sweet cat Jordie. He loved to get in the shower when someone was done and lick whatver water was left! Thank you for sharing your life with me Jordie, my ...

Flock of Geese | … for the whole
8230; for the whole. Pumpkin Harvest in the ‘burbs. October 8, 2012. Continue reading →. July 20, 2012. I’m content having my front yard be a garden, a food forest in the making. (I had to stop a moment to think of an appropriate emotion. ‘Happy’ or ‘glad’ a more immediate, nonthinking response didn’t seem quite right, especially on this day.). But today I wish I had my lawn back. Now, I am stuck on a technical issue, when this is really an emotional issue about caring and togetherness, community. They a...

Flock of Kindness - About Us
I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Taking flight in hometowns and traveling the world, the Flock of Kindness is now flying in full force.
