From just south of the Arctic Circle. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Days 10-17, Nome. I was a bit lazy in keeping up the blog this week, because there was so much going on here. I didn't want it to be a chore, which sometimes it is on this computer. Nome doesn't have DSL yet, as far as I can tell. Anyway, I'll attempt to be brief in wrapping up this year's trip. Lance Mackey and his team arrived on Tuesday.what a race he had! BluWarrior69 (S. Dunbar). Saturday, March 13, 2010. Days 8 and 9- From Homer to Nome.

From just south of the Arctic Circle. Saturday, March 13, 2010. Days 8 and 9- From Homer to Nome. Alas, it was time to say goodbye to Homer. We lucked out and had a great drive from Homer back to Anchorage. We had some incredible views, all of which were suspiciously unphotographed? The flight gave us some good views of the Alaska Range:. After hanging out at cousin Pat and Sue's for some pizza and wine, we hit the sack late. BluWarrior69 (S. Dunbar). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A grind of blackf...

From just south of the Arctic Circle. Tuesday, January 10, 2006. A flock of hamsters. Indeed, you may wonder, "what's with the title? I'm not really known to have a "favorite" animal, however, I feel that the hamster. Comes pretty close (I'm not at liberty to reveal my other two "favorite" animals, lest I be forever labeled as a softy.) I've had a number of hamsters in my life (Mom tells me 5, but I'm pretty sure one or two more would be a fair guess), most notably " Pooky. Check, moy love). Squirrel?

Yesterday we batted around town, did some shopping, and I went to the Carrie McLean Museum for a short while. Not much else happened, except some reading and some catching up on the news. Perfect! Oh yeah, I did watch "Akeelah and the Bee" with Dad and Megan, and we played a marathon match of Quiddler before bed. The Busers (Martin and Rohn, the 2007 Jr. Iditarod Champ):. Thanks for tuning in.
