My Legume Love Affair. Mesopotamian Barley, Chickpea, Lentil, Tahini Soup. Here is yet another recipe from Silk Road Cooking. I simply cannot resist the array of offerings contained in this book. A perfectly balanced meal in a bowl, as we have legumes and also a grain; in this case, pearl barley, lentils, chickpeas and veggies. For dessert, I served some rather savory jam filled buns. My Legume Love Affair. Loaded Nachos with Cashew Cheese Sauce {Vegan}. Im always open to new ideas and, though I dont follow a strict vegan diet, I do like most of my meals to be vegan friendly. I have already been following a vegetarian diet for over 20 years, so vegan meals come rather naturally to me. Cheese is one thing though that is hard to replicate.
