I joined my fellow fresh food lovers and signed up for a CSA share ( Community Supported Agriculture. From nearby Brenckle’s Farm. In my late spring basket, I received a huge head of lettuce, a bunch each of beets and radishes, big bags of spinach and arugula, chives, garlic scapes, and kohlrabi. I also got half a dozen free-range eggs (yum! And a pint of THE BEST STRAWBERRIES EVER!

Motor City Girl in the Steel City. Finding health, happiness and wedded bliss in Pittsburgh. Smoky White Bean Chili. Vegan, gluten-free, low-fat). Grilled Banana Challah French Toast. 1 large slice of Challah (egg) bread, broken into two. 1 egg, beaten. 2 tsp brown sugar. 1 medium sized banana, sliced hot dog (long) way. Grease and heat griddle. Make basic French toast by dredging challah in eggs and placing on griddle. Sprinkle brown sugar on one side of each slice of bread. Gobble up the deliciousness!

Listed this morning on Red Pop Shop, here is a yummy recipe for Dark and Stormy Cocktails to fill this pitcher with! DARK AND STORMY VANILLA COCKTAILS *. Combine 2 cups dark rum. The coreopsis in my garden was amazing this summer and although I'm ready for fall and mums and pumpkins on the porch, I'll be sad to see it go.
