Celebrating the art of home cooking…. December 17, 2009. I used to sell these at our family business in Tucson, Az. Theses cookies are my own take on peanut butter blossoms. Cream together shortening, peanut butter, sugar and egg. Blend in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Roll balls in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Add a Chocolate Kiss and bake 1-2 min more. Chewy Chocolate Ginger Cookies. These take a little more effort than your average cookie, but are totally worth it!
