Home Cooking With Anna: Pomegranate Plov

http://homecookingwithanna.blogspot.com/2008/12/pomegranate-plov.html

Home Cooking With Anna. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. I made lamb and pomegranate plov a few months ago and even though I don't remember the recipe, I couldn't resist posting this picture. This dish has everything but the kitchen sink in it (sorry for the Rachel Ray reference) and I did a ton of research before combining dozens of different plov recipes. It's really an amazing thing how complex plov can get. Here is one interesting article. Posted by Anna Klayman. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Home Cooking With Anna: Jacques Pepin Style Potatoes and Hot Wings

http://homecookingwithanna.blogspot.com/2009/01/jacques-pepin-style-potatoes-and-hot.html

Home Cooking With Anna. Monday, January 5, 2009. Jacques Pepin Style Potatoes and Hot Wings. This post does not have an image attached to it because Gene and I devoured this meal before I had a chance to grab the camera. The first part (Jacques Pepin style potatoes) is actually a copy/paste from foodnetwork.com and was featured on Rachel Ray a while back. 3 pounds baby Yukon gold potatoes. Freshly ground black pepper. 3 cups chicken stock. 2 to 3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves.

Home Cooking With Anna: Ribs (Part Deux)

http://homecookingwithanna.blogspot.com/2008/12/ribs-part-deux.html

Home Cooking With Anna. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. On a completely unrelated note, yesterday I read what was truly the funniest thread on Facebook (shout out to Cecot). If you have ever seen the commercial for the Snuggie, this will surely give you a chuckle. The below has been edited slightly to protect the identities of the unintentionally hilarious. Can't believe that someone felt the overwhelming need to invent the Snuggie. I would like to add that I never realized how much energy I have been expend...

Home Cooking With Anna: Bangers and Mash

http://homecookingwithanna.blogspot.com/2008/12/bangers-and-mash.html

Home Cooking With Anna. Sunday, December 21, 2008. Until I went to London last Spring, I probably never even heard of the term 'bangers and mash' and if I did, I probably thought it was a rock and roll band. The term is ubiquitous in the English/Irish community and is really just a silly way of saying sausages and mashed potatoes. For more info about the origin of the term - click here. 4 apple and chicken sausages. 1 granny smith apple (can use any apple). 2 small shallots (or half a medium onion).

Monday, January 5, 2009. Jacques Pepin Style Potatoes and Hot Wings. The second recipe is an 'Anna original' but the idea came when I heard someone say, "The reason hot wings are so good in bars is because they are coated in a mix of hot sauce and butter." This ...

Feeding Your Mind, Body and Soul. 15 Minutes and It’s Dinnertime. Asymp; Leave a comment. They say that we should be careful what we ask for; I’ve been asking when the heat was going to make an appearance here in Northeast Ohio. Well… believe me when I say, the heat came… with a vengeance! One day it was 78 degrees and the for the next full week it was 95 degrees outside. I was like “Uh, what happened here? I didn't add any of these but will try next time. This gave me 6 portions of borsch. On a frying...
