Food, Folks and Funnies. Not necessarily in that order. Happy (Moving) Birthday to Dave! Dave's birthday was June 20th, and we moved to Wisconsin on June 25th. So how do you celebrate someone's birthday when your life and house are in disarray and you're moving within the week? Take photos with moving boxes in the background, and go to Strong Museum! Oh, and we sold our red car (possibly the last vestige of my young, free and single days- sniff! Links to this post. It was like our own Green Eggs and Ham ...

Food, Folks and Funnies. Not necessarily in that order. OK, so sometimes I get a bit too creative (desperate? With these blog post titles. According to The Hurst Review. Part of Zooropa’s message is that surfaces can be deceiving, and this song cycle is much more than meets the eye." Which is a terrific metaphor for this post. Chew on that awhile! It doesn't get much better than happening upon a real-life baboon snuggle session. Links to this post. Down and gimme 50! Links to this post. Dave graduated on...

Food, Folks & Funnies: Duncan Leaks!
http://foodfolksfunnies.blogspot.com/2010/12/duncan-leaks.html
Food, Folks and Funnies. Not necessarily in that order. You saw it here first! Exclusive Duncan family leaks that are downright mortifying. See us like you've never (wanted to) see us before. It's embarrassing! I made Potato Leek Soup for the first time tonight and it was pretty tasty. I've never cooked with leeks before, hence the unnatural excitement and inability to overcome the urge to pun. Please forgive me. Many thanks to Elise at Simply Recipes. What else do you all make with leeks? P's in a pod.

Live Laugh. Love. Sunday, February 26, 2012. Taiwan Day 2 - Funeral. They had everything you could possibly want both "western" and Asian. But since we really only had 5 minutes to eat. We quickly ran through the line, stuffed our mouths full of food, then ran back down to the lobby to catch our taxi. It goes up to 213 mph! It was so amazingly fast! Can you believe it? Tuesday, February 21, 2012. We arrived, they fed us breakfast and helped us get settled. Ron and I had planned on going to the Taipei tem...

It snowed four years ago when she was born; not a lot, but enough to make the world beautiful. This year, Heavenly Father gave her the gift of snow and LOTS of it! Coming down our home-made sled run. More pictures to come! Friday, January 20, 2012. Very fun idea so thank you pinterest! Monday, January 9, 2012. Luke g...

Sportin our stylish life jackets ( a have to on the boat ride :-). The Girls and I in the sunflare. This sea lion hopped right up on this boat deck, pretty fun! Live Laugh. Love. Monday, August 20, 2012. Lily's 6th Birthday Party. Lily turned 6 this year so it was my first birthday party! Lily wanted a castle cake and so I did the best that I could. It took me FOREVER to make this cake and though it's a little lopsided Lily was IN LOVE with it! It was totally worth the hours to see her reaction. I believe it was a lemon cake layered with strawberries and cream in between. After that was present time! Lily LOVED all her presents from her friends and overall had a...
The Bailey Family: March 2012
http://baileymonthly.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Live Laugh. Love. Friday, March 23, 2012. Taiwan Day 8: The End of My Journeys. After we walked around the Longshan temple, we walked over to an herbal medicine street where there were a bunch of vendors selling medicinal teas, etc. My aunt got me a menthol grass tea of some sort, it's suppose to be very refreshing. It tasted decent and the menthol was strong, so yes, in a way, it was quite refreshing. Then we headed to a historic street. I was told that a lot of brides take pictures in this hall way.

Live Laugh. Love. Sunday, June 24, 2012. Mother's Day and Father's Day. Anyway, my Mother's Day was fantastic. I did end up going to church by myself with the kids since Luke wasn't feeling well, but he made me breakfast in the morning, got the kids ready except for the hair part, and then when he was at home he cleaned up my house! Every year at Mother's Day Luke always gives me a "day off" and I LOVE IT! Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Monday, June 11, 2012. Family Vacation Day 3. We then headed to Salt Cree...
The Bailey Family: November 2012
http://baileymonthly.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Live Laugh. Love. Sunday, November 11, 2012. That night Luke mentioned that the Spanish branch invited our family to their ward Latino celebration for the evening, so we decided to go and check it out. Luke made friends with some of the members of the ward over a year and a half ago at a baptism and have been playing volleyball with them once a week ever since. The celebration was WONDERFUL! Happy Birthday to my bundle of joy! You might be a crazy little kid, but you sure make me smile. :).

The Bailey Family: April 2012
http://baileymonthly.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Live Laugh. Love. Monday, April 9, 2012. They advertised 3000 eggs but I'm pretty sure there were 300 people there. The parking was insane and Luke and I decided that the eggs had about a 2 second life expectancy. We didn't want the girls and Michael to get trampled in the mob so we did one of our own. It was much better this way. Michael absolutely LOVED the egg hunt and the jelly beans inside them. He was absolutely adorable. Monday, April 2, 2012. A Little Bit of Crafting. June 21, 2016. June 21, 2016. Comments Off on Challah Bread. This is my first attempt at Challah Bread – it was delicious! Unfortunately, I can’t find the recipe I used, although I’m sure I wrote it down around here somewhere – it was at least a few months ago (not exactly on top of things here at the moment! A photo will have to suffice for now. 🙂. Braiding the bread was really fun. A did find a tip that said to start braiding in the middle – do one side, then the other. Key Lime Pie Recipe. Food Follies of our Forefathers. Recipes that take you through time. Hanging with the Hunter-gatherers…. This is going to be my first ever post, and I’m very excited for someone to read it! I decided to start at our beginnings, and go on a journey with the hunter-gatherers of Belgium. So back in the day when we all walked around like so:. Good looking lad aren't I? We hadn’t really thought up the concept of fire as a domestic cooking tool. All our food was raw, including meat! Grandfather will approve of!

November 6, 2016 / Food Follower. This is a simple, easy and delicious cake! The moist cake is filled with slightly tart blueberries, and a crunchy walnut and cinnamon sugar topping makes this cake perfect for dessert or at tea time with a cup of coffee or tea. I followed the recipe. November 6, 2016 / Food Follower. Although I love fall in NYC, I miss Charleston – the warmer weather, the slower pace of live, and most of all, the food. Here are some of my food highlights from my stay in Charleston:.
