Dedicated to the enjoyment of food with gusto! Archive May, 2014. Half and Half Pancakes. Breakfast for dinner occurs weekly at the ranch. It’s easy, nutritious and delicious. And it helps to level the playing field of calorie consumption if you’ve eaten more than you should have the night before. We love our pancakes light and fluffy, however, on the thick side. And our half and half baking mix, using half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour, turns out a fantastic end product. California Chrome...

Dedicated to the enjoyment of food with gusto! Archive September, 2014. My maternal grandfather, Eddie Corcoran, called me the Blonde Witch when I was a little girl. I was always little to him. He passed away when I was five. He also called me the White Roach. I recall secretly loving these titles he gave to me. And I know it was because of my blonde hair, I know that, for sure. And I know he meant it in the most affectionate way. Moist, light in a strange kind of way, but, definitely bakery quality!

The Compost Tea Miracle. July 22, 2014. Simply put compost tea is just what it sounds like. You take some finished compost, about 2 or 3 hand fulls, put it into a five gallon bucket. A pinch of this, a dash of this.just makin' it up as I go. Friday, August 29, 2008. Preach the Gospel at all times, if necessary, use words. While I was visiting my parents in Denver back in July, my Mom and I, along with Calvin, made a special trip to visit the SAME Cafe. I first read about this unique restaurant in Cooking Light. A few months earlier and I was immediately intrigued. (Read my original blog post about it here. Here's a quick recap of what makes the SAME Cafe so unique:. From there, we to...
