Cooking Claire: Rick Bayless Barbecue Sauce
http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2010/04/rick-bayless-barbecue-sauce.html
Friday, April 16, 2010. Rick Bayless Barbecue Sauce. I think it's really hard to find a reasonably priced bottled barbecue sauce that doesn't have a bunch of unnecessary junk in it like high fructose corn syrup. I've made my own in the past a few times but wasn't ever super impressed with any of the recipes I tried. So I was beyond delighted to see this recipe in the Rick and Lanie cookbook. Hickory House Barbecue Sauce. 1 Tbsp vinegar (cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar). 1/3 cup dark brown sugar.

Cooking Claire: Ham and Artichoke Sandwich
http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2013/06/ham-and-artichoke-sandwich.html
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Ham and Artichoke Sandwich. So I was just looking up my dinner recipe for tonight on my blog ( Crockpot Beer Chicken Fajitas. If you're curious) and saw I've only done nine blog posts for the whole year. Nine! Yowza I need to get back to blogging. I promptly opened my "cooking blog" photos folder and scoured for something to post. I'll be honest, when I saw these pictures I couldn't remember exactly what it was, until I saw the artichoke hearts and then remembered. I know Ive me...

Cooking Claire: Grilled Pork Ribs
http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2013/06/grilled-pork-ribs.html
Tuesday, June 25, 2013. I've always been a fan of boneless ribs. Gnawing on ribs with the bones in them has always seemed gross and honestly a little barbaric to me. although for a lot of years I wouldn't even eat meat with bones in it because it reminded me that it once was walking around. Can you tell I lived with vegetarians in college? Grilled Boneless Pork Ribs. 3 pounds boneless country style pork ribs. Preheat your grill for indirect heat grilling (is that the right phrase? I'm a stay-at-home-mom ...

http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2009/02/beer-chicken-fajitas.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Don't you love finding new cooking blogs? Okay, maybe not everyone does, but I sure do! Has changed my world. That may be an overstatement, but I sure have found some cool blogs through it. I haven't even explored the website a whole lot, but I just click on some of the blogs that show up on the widget every day (over on the right side of my blog). This is how I found this recipe, it was on Feasting Fun. 3-4 boneless chicken breasts (approx. 1 per person). 189; bottle of beer.

Friday, May 24, 2013. You mix it up in the baking dish, so there aren't a ton of dishes to deal with once you're done! 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled). 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt. 6 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. 1 tablespoon white vinegar. 1 cup cold water. Actually writing this out and seeing the pictures kind of makes me want to whip one up to share with my boys tonight! Come on, Claire!

Cooking Claire: No Carb Pizza
http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2012/01/no-carb-pizza.html
Thursday, January 26, 2012. I did a search on low carb meals and came up with a bevy of ideas. Some have been good, some have been okay, nothing has been awful. I've had an easier time this week than in times past cutting out carbs, maybe because I'm more used to doing it now? I don't know. Or maybe I know we're just doing it through Monday, so the end is near already. But I figured it was worth a try. 1 (8 oz.) package of full fat cream cheese (room temp.). Freshly ground black pepper. I was pretty skep...

Cooking Claire: Calico Relish
http://cookingclaire.blogspot.com/2013/05/calico-relish.html
Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Anyway, remember how I recently mentioned Market on the Move. Source: my great aunt Irene. 4-6 unpared zucchini, coarsely ground (3.5 cups). 6 medium carrots, ground (1.5 cups). 2 medium onions, ground (1 cup). 2 Tbsp uniodized salt. 2 1/2 cups sugar. 1 1/2 cups vinegar. 1 1/2 tsp celery seed. 1 1/2 tsp dry mustard. Just as good as I remembered. And the husband liked it, too! It's super easy to make up, and it will be a great way to use up some of that summer bounty of vegetables!
