Captured this beautifully in his recent commentary,. The victory garden, still a winning idea.". Mr Higgins noted, as so many of us do, that. The closer I am to the source of the veggies I eat, the better I feel about myself and the planet.". You have all heard of the dire threat to Nick's Organic Farm. Grow your own food, or pa...

Linna's Garden Journal: Nothing to do?
http://linnasgarden.blogspot.com/2011/06/nothing-to-do.html
Thursday, June 23, 2011. Now that the garden is fully mulched, all the spring crops are out and summer crops are all in, I truly feel like I don't have much to do! Believe me, I am not complaining, but it just seems crazy to not feel behind the curve :) I am going to enjoy this for the short time it lasts. Once those tomatoes start coming in I will again feel behind! Last week I harvested my first cucumber and Broden said it was the MOST DELICIOUS cucumber EVER! Ha, ha. A few updates:. All of my garden h...
Linna's Garden Journal: Letting my tomato show its TOMATO-NESS...
http://linnasgarden.blogspot.com/2010/06/letting-my-tomato-show-its-tomatoness.html
Letting my tomato show its TOMATO-NESS. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. I hate staking tomatoes- so this year I am allowing my San Marzano to be who it wants to be, and she looks GREAT! In the words of Joel Salatan, I am allowing my tomato to show its TOMATONESS by vining! It looks as though you have the room, so why not! June 24, 2010 at 9:17 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a FT working mom with lots of schedules to juggle, so if I can grow all this food, you can too! 1,2,3 Food Gardening.

http://linnasgarden.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-year-mid-summer-update.html
What a year. Mid Summer Update. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Wow - I haven't written for awhile since life has been so crazy. Between the garden, kids, work, the house.where does time go? Anyhow- I gotta update this year's 'garden good times' to remind me how each year is SO DIFFERENT. Landscaper fabric is working famously. It has been a very dry season and I feel like it is helping keep moisture in. Everything is early this year! I have been canning for the last two days! Nice and 'clean garden'. Yahoo Gro...
Linna's Garden Journal: For the record....
http://linnasgarden.blogspot.com/2011/03/for-record.html
Monday, March 21, 2011. Tulips and Daffodils are blooming now. Days still cold, but around mid 40 on up. Heard spring peepers for the first time on Friday night. Garlic is greening up. Cabbage from fall looks AWESOME! Do you cover your cabbage over winter? I had some fall carrots come through the winter with marvelous results, but my broccoli all shriveled and dead. March 21, 2011 at 12:46 PM. I would like to add - for the record - that I miss you. Rock on garden girl, and happy Spring!

FoodScapes from Below
Wednesday, December 02, 2015. Some of us colleagues and friends went over to Jungle View. I had intended this trip to be a follow-up to my earlier post. On the place, that is, to to check out, and photograph, all the stuff I had missed out on the last time. Alas! My grandiose plans were almost completely frustrated. Both Emu and patra poŗā. Mutton were off that day. I don't know what they have against patra poŗā. Mutton. But more on that later. First, a brief digression on the Odiya word poŗā. Yes, such ...
