Vilma Bharatan is a research associate at The Natural History Museum in London where she gives regular talks to the general public on food plants at The David Attenborough studios. It was while based at the museum to carry out her research for her PhD thesis on medicinal plants used in homeopathy that she found that many of the medicinal plants were also our commonly used food plants. Saturday, February 9, 2008. I discovered this one in college.its tasty and you can throw it in the fridge and eat it for a few days. 1 1/2 pounds broccoli- fresh. Mix with 1 cup cold water. 1 pint half and half. Steam or boil broccoli until dinner. Place half and half in top of double boiler. Add cheese salt and pepper. Heat until cheese is melted. Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl. Stir into cheese mixture in double boiler and heat over simmering water until soup thickens. Exported from MasterCook *.
