Inelegant Superabundance: Holidays
http://inelegantsuperabundance.blogspot.com/2015/07/holidays.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. Toby and Joss go back to school today after two fun filled weeks of holidays. Getting them up this morning was quite a task. Bethany has this week off as well, so we'll have another adjustment next week! Bethany says I look like I'm hurting myself when I bowl - it may not be pretty, but it works! We said goodbye to the cousins, looking forward to seeing them again next Easter, and then Le Tour de France started! Shep came over for the first night, and Steve joined us too, so it was...

Inelegant Superabundance: August 2014
http://inelegantsuperabundance.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. A day in the sun. I have spent a few hours in the garden this weekend, not only hanging my washing outside, but weeding and watering. I planted my bulbs much too late, but one has managed to flower anyway. Andrew planted another couple of trees out the front, too. All very satisfying, it is. After our assignment filled week, we are looking forward to the eisteddfod, for the next couple of weeks. Then, it will almost be the holidays! Saturday, August 30, 2014. Paddocks are a brill...

Inelegant Superabundance: November 2014
http://inelegantsuperabundance.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. Churches have been holding gingerbread house events for years, but for some reason, we have always gone for something else. We have had button flowers, cards, felt flowers and foodie, rather than crafty events. This year, we went old school and embraced the gingerbread. I wonder if it is possible to hold a women's event free of sugar. I may have been the only woman who left having consumed only water and tea! Friday, November 28, 2014. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Friday, February 27, 2015. Hairy Maclary and the trip to the library. This time last week I was on a little plane to Sydney. Chrissie and I were wondering if we were ever going to get out of the clouds as bad weather kept us bumping around for ages, waiting to land. We went to a seminar at the State Library, on digital engagement and user experience. I haven't done much tea in front of the telly in recent months, but thanks to Broadchurch (yay! I have a regular date again with my pretty tea things. This ...

http://inelegantsuperabundance.blogspot.com/2015/06/playing-with-big-kids.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. Playing with the big kids. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra was in town a couple of weeks ago and Bethany, as a violin student of the Riverina Conservatorium of Music, had a special lesson with them. This weekend, the Sydney Youth Orchestras are here, and they had a morning workshop with Riverina students, followed by a concert in the evening. This is the group from the Con. If you look very closely, you'll see something clever. Someone appears in the photo twice! Mum and Dad's trip.

Don't let this old world get it's grip on you…. May 26, 2013. Middot; by radiationgrrl. My boys really enjoy audiobooks. They love ‘Charlie and Lola”, and the CS Lewis Narnia series. Listening to these in bed before sleep is a wonderful treat, and exposes them to some great stories before they can read (and gives the tired parents a break from reading too). Recently I sought out some more stories I thought they would enjoy, and found “ The Enchanted Wood”. By Enid Blyton, read by Kate Winslet. The Key to...

Food That's De!
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. I must admit, I've never really been a fan of vegetable soup. The reason for this is that I've only ever tried the nasty canned stuff. But THIS vegetable soup is leagues above any canned soup out there. So delicious! Even my picky 2 year old enjoyed it. Recipe slightly adapted from Cooking Classy. 2 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil. 1 1/2 cups chopped yellow onion (1 medium). 2 cups peeled and diced carrots (about 4). 3 cups diced potatoes (about 3 medium). 4 garlic cloves pressed.
