We have a $2500 match through June 5 for any donations to our Enabling Independence Program! The Enabling Independence Program is one of our favorite programs. We have seen amazing and wonderful things happening with these programs. We have watched these women celebrate with each other and take care of each other. You can see more in this video. Around 4 cups of flour- more or less to make it a dense dough.not real sticky. 1/4 cup (or more depending on how sweet you want it) honey. 2 tsp yeast (don't put salt in next to yeast.put the yeast in with your honey). 2 tsp of black sesame seeds. 2 tsp cardamom (next time I will probably use 2 1/2 of the cardamom). It was something that was made on special occasions with his family. The birthday pictures that we have from Ethiopia always have a large round loaf of himbasha with a cake on top. He loves it.and it's actually a very good bread. Our local Ethiopian restaurant makes it and I have been diligently trying to copy their recipe! I finally got really close yesterday!
