Life and Happenstance from a Penney. I cook. I bake. I temper. I stir. Here are some of my favorite recipes:. The Pioneer Woman’s – Best Chocolate Sheet Cake. Ever. 8211; Really this might be the best/easiest chocolate sheet cake to make and eat. It easily goes from nothing to ready to eat in less than an hour, the eating will be messy but it will also be divine! Ricotta Pancakes and Waffles. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Life and Happenstance from a Penney. Https:/ fortuitouschange.wordpress.com. DIEP (Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator) Flap is an intense surgery that involves taking tissue, veins, and arteries from my abdomen and essentially transplanting them to my chest. That is the simplest explanation, I’ll give a little more detail down below so those that are somewhat squeamish can bail out before then. You may recall that I fainted during my first biopsy. 8212;— Bail Out Warning ——. April 3, 2016. Reading has b...

I realized that I never did an update with my final pathology from my surgery, it’s only been a couple months (LOL). This is so totally, blow through the roof PRAISE worthy! December 10, 2014. Monica and Peter Murdy. May you have a very blessed and special Christmas!
One Year | Fortuitous Change

Life and Happenstance from a Penney. The past few weeks have been a procession of “One year” thoughts for me. It was one year ago on February 17th that I first noticed a lump, closely followed by my appointment with my Dr, then mammogram and ultrasound, onto breast surgeon and wrapping up with my first biopsy. 8220;When you pass through the waters,. I will be with you;. And when you pass through the rivers,. They will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire,. You will not be burned;.

Life and Happenstance from a Penney. Chemotherapy Cycle 5 and 6 (recap). I went into this cycle following a great time camping with the other families from our Life Group and the day after having a blast at a friend’s wedding. I was not particularly excited to go into chemo but knowing that I only had 2 treatments left made it much easier, kind of like “It’s all downhill from here”. The worst of the chemo is DONE! Meander (v.): to follow a winding or intricate course. Asymp; Leave a comment. Just yesterday I was reading in Philippians where it says, “he who began a good work in you will carry it on until completion”. Over the last few weeks this verse has sounded more like, He who began. And reliance on Himself. Yet, over and over again I am placed in certain situations that require flexibility. And I find myself embracing them! Either, the Bible says it’s. Meander (v.): to follow a winding or intricate course. Dusting off the ol’ Stethoscope! Asymp; 2 Comments. Recently, I had to opportunity to sub for the nurse at Doug’s school (grades 6-12). This was my first experience as school nurse (except for a few hours in nursing school). First of all, I was pretty nervous (it has been a little bit since I’ve been in “the field”). The school nurse from last year assured me it would be fun! How on earth was this all going to work out? How to keep an almost-nineteen...

Saturday, June 23, 2012. Finally.some good ol' fashioned scones! Ok, I'll admit it. Lately my blog has looked more like a love letter to Alton Brown than a baking blog. I'm sorry- I do miss my experimentation in the kitchen, but really, after 14 seasons on the air, Good Eats has produced some quality recipes. Recently, my two main stress reducers have been baking and running (at least they balance each other out.right? And I really got hooked on Good Eats for the first time in my life! Wednesday, January 28, 2009. I'm back. Well, I haven't updated this blog for 4 days because of the tons of things I have to accomplish for school. Ugh! School is really stressing me out. But then, I keep in mind that in 2 months, school will be over- high school will end and all of the hard work will pay off. So, here are the things that happened within the past few days. Just want to amuse myself before I return to the torture of reviewing. Ugh. Saturday, January 24, 2009. It's been a while. So anyway, ...
