Candace in Athens: Circle 'Round
http://candaceinathens.blogspot.com/2010/01/circle-round.html
The Sketchbook Project Blog for some more EyeCandy! Friday, January 8, 2010. I love circles. Spherical miracles. Most if not all of my images in the Sketchbook have some green in them somewhere, sure. But I always try to get something round in there somewhere! Is it because of that archetypal shape? Is it because it's one of the earliest geometrics and symbols recognized? Who knows and who cares! Remember those peas on that kid's plate? Good advice from Mom. Labels: Those Ferns Are For Jeanne. I really l...

nenslens: September 2010

Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Capital of the world! Friday, September 3, 2010. Love at first bight! Bight: the bay formed by a bend or curve in the shoreline. We are back from our 8,oookm (5,000 mile) five-week roadtrip to Newfoundland. We had the absolute best time, didn't want to come home really. What a beautiful province! It has it all, from the lush mountains to the barren lands with no vegetation, the wildlife, the seafood, and a picturesque fishing village around every bend. Plant to represent it.

Retail Recovery: Hit me
http://retailrecovery.blogspot.com/2008/08/hit-me.html
Minimal shopping for Maximum Satisfaction. Good odds that you'll need it some time). now, with clothing, one item you buy now may not appeal to you in a year - so buying 2 in no way guarantees anything, except that you have 2. i'm a romantic. when i buy, i assume that i'm in for the long haul. experience has shown me that this just isn't the case, or experience would. Is there anything in your closet right now that you would be willing to bet you will love exactly as much. As you do right now, next year.

Retail Recovery: If/then
http://retailrecovery.blogspot.com/2008/09/ifthen.html
Minimal shopping for Maximum Satisfaction. I love deadlines. i work best under pressure. and i'm always most productive in the eleventh hour. but work is work, and shopping is not. If you shopped the way you worked, then how would that go? I'd shop constantly and complain about it, while actually greatly enjoying it 99% of the time. I'd also do it alone, be insanely competitive, want the best stuff right now and generally overachieve. Slowly and methodically. I take my time. I would be relaxed and talkat...

dance of a painted lady: SanFran Sunshine
http://danceofapaintedlady.blogspot.com/2014/08/sanfran-sunshine.html
The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection. The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware. Family of the heart. Life on the wing. All i ever wanted. Be present, be here. Senseless acts of beauty. Be dream. play. Life is ART too. Lots of lovely stuff. The red otter shop. Lime in the coconut.

Thursday, April 3, 2014. Inspiration for my latest necklace. Shades of turqouise, blue and lime with a bit of silver to make it shine! This is a cellini spiral with a few pearls to add to the texture and shape of the necklace. I will be listing it my shop soooon. I don't know why, but I am really struggling to take good photos for my shop listings. My photographs seem to get worse instead of better. Suppose I will have to keep trying. Friday, February 14, 2014. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. I know there is nothing new about folding books.I have just never tried it before! It is so theraputic, the feel of the paper as you fold it, the different textures and thickness of paper. Some fold beautifully and some resist everyfold, almost as if they are fighting to keep their shape. I also noticed that I can speed read while I am folding! Inspiration, and patterns, taken from Freshly Found. And a whimsy willow. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
