Running the Freedom Trail – South Africa. I work as an Inspector for the RSPCA. Everyday the RSPCA works to prevent animals being subjected to cruelty and help rehabilitate and nurse wild animals that are sick or injured. To be able to achieve this requires money to fund the Inspectors, Officers, Vets, animal centres, equipment etc. All of which is not possible without donations, as the RSPCA is solely funded by public donations. Kens 2 wheel travel. Cycling from Lands End to John O'groats. Friday, 7 October 2011. This morningarrived with sunshine illuminating the mountains opposite Fort William. I took the Caledonian Canal tow path to start todays journey,which proved to be quiet and easy pedaling. A detour onto a forest track poved more ardous and resulted in the chain jumping off, the repair caused a minor injury. I eventually returned to rhe A82 road that seems topetrify the locals! Running from Durban to Cape Town. Running from Durban to Cape Town. Early in October Emma started her 1500 mile run across South Africa, from Durban to Cape Town. She is following the Freedom Trail, which is a mountain bike trial used for a race called the Freedom Challenge. Emma is running about 25 miles every day, hoping to complete the journey in about 2 months. The following are Emma's updated that I have transferred into this blog to allow those interested in her adventure to monitor her progress.

Snow days in Kentucky. It's not usual that we see a lot of snow down here in Kentucky. Winters tend to be pretty mild. There was a point this year where I wondered if my son would get to see any accumulation at all and then all of the sudden snowpocalypse was upon us.
