So, to the caves we went. There are two major cave sites to choose from: Postojna and Škocjan, both in the southwest Karst region of Slovenia, about a 2-hour drive from Zagreb. We chose the Škocjan Caves this time around, but certainly plan on checking both off my Slovenia list before long. September 24, 2014.

The colors here just blew me away. This castle is said to be the inspiration of the famous Disney castle. The royal kitchen….amazing! Heading inland from Lisbon, away from the coast, lies Evora. Evora’s main square: Praca do Giraldo. This temple was part of the Roman forum and main square, waaay back in the first century. Wow.
