This chimney was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1933 at Camp #23, the Big Bend Camp. We are a friends group for Leyland Park, Hindley. Our aim is to help provide a cleaner, safer park and to bring members of our local community together! Anyone wishing to get involved or contact the friends group can do so at. Wednesday, 24 August 2011. Sunday the 21st August will go down in history as the day the whole of Hindley.
