https://haggwood.wordpress.com/2016/06

A woodland community group. Friends of Hagg Wood. 20th Anniversary Celebration – 4 June 2016. To catch the mood of being in the wood the following poem was composed by Jeanette Parkinson:. In the middle of Hagg Wood. Here we sit as quiet as can be. I wonder what’s hiding behind that tree. There’s mud on the ground and some on my welly.

True, it would be great to have a talent that is easily visible and richly rewarded because it brings so much pleasure to so many other people, but most of us will remain biggish fish in smallish ponds – if we're lucky enough to achieve THAT much! It's actually kind of mystical, this co-evolution of audience, message, messenger . . . quite mystical! Here's one of Eugene's poems, written about his beloved father, a coal miner in Hazleton, PA. Pop mined you in the dark. He saved the sunshine for me.
