From London with love

From London with love. Tower of London poppy installation. November 8, 2014. Intrigued to say the least – I set off this morning to visit the Tower of London where the installation ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ is currently on display. Created by artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper; over eight hundred thousand ceramic poppies have been planted to represent the British and colonial soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War. Today, I truly feel proud to live in such a remarkable city.

What Lucy Ate Next: September 2012

http://whatlucyatenext.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, 22 September 2012. How is it here already? It’s bloody September and soon it’ll be October (see they taught me well at school), and I’m trying to come terms with the fact that our poor excuse for a British summer is over for another year. I’m not much of a photographer but I can’t help but notice that the light in autumn is just beautiful. Long walks around London are one of my favourite pastimes and I think that these snaps epitomize a sunny autumn day in West London. Big, hearty meals are sud...

What Lucy Ate Next: Summer Update

http://whatlucyatenext.blogspot.com/2012/09/summer-update.html

Thursday, 13 September 2012. It has been one hell of a summer and I have been none stop busy and completely unable to think straight, let alone get around to paying attention to my poor, lonely blog. Why so busy? I joined in the London Olympic party spirit with gusto, I got to see blur (twice) and my sister got married again at our house in Spain.See what I mean? It’s been amazing but a bit of whirlwind, so here is a brief update in pictures:. The generosity her family showed us was beyond anything we co...

From London with Gratitude | Sharing the good in each day

From London with Gratitude. Sharing the good in each day. A new year ahead. June 7, 2013 by Captains of FUN. In just a few hours I will be turning 25. As much as I am not yet worried about aging, I am increasingly realizing the importance of being intentional. So on this eve of my quarter century, I am excited to remind myself of the things I love – good food, writing, and, most importantly, the inspirational people I get to be surrounded by. From London With Love

From London With Love. Saturday, April 2, 2011. Last weekend was my trip to Ireland! This was the trip I was most looking forward to and it did not disappoint. It was by far the best excursion I've taken so far! Friday morning, Devon and I flew into Cork, Ireland. Our first introduction to the Irish was our taxi driver, Mr. Bill O'Reilly. The man was nuts! After an afternoon tea (well, hot chocolate. I still dont like tea), we spent awhile shopping at the Blarney Mills! The day of traveling and walking a...

fromlondonwithlove2011 | The Best Part of Love is Giving It Away

The Best Part of Love is Giving It Away. The Year Without A Blog. March 1, 2014. It hasn’t quite been a year, but it has been more than six months. For me, that’s pretty close. Time sort of jumbles together every now and then, and I find myself already making Holiday plans in the middle of everyone else’s St. Patrick’s Day planning {. Seriously, everything on Pinterest right now is green with rainbows. }. We’re having a baby! When a mommy and daddy really love each other…. Which is not the way to give }.

Wednesday, 30 October 2013. A brand new start. Source: warmstoast.blogspot.com. I've recently been through a string of major life changes. Most of them I brought upon myself and it was about damn time I did too. I may not be going anywhere, but I'll be doing lots of things. I'll be editing. And if you like it that much then tell your friends about. Things are about to get a whole lot better! Friday, 13 September 2013. A bad case of kryia. A couple of days ago I had a kryia. All these questions are paraly...

From lone star to big apple. Experience first hand a dream come true. Good afternoon, my lovely readers! I wanted to spice things up a bit and share with you something that I am currently obsessed with. I have recently gone into a maxi dress/maxi skirt craze and have caught myself longing for a black chiffon maxi skirt. Why, I’m not quite sure but I have been dying to get my hands on one! The Many Blessings (Part Two). So what am I doing from here you say? With all of that said, I still have a few weeks ...
