Ginger beer battered fish
http://www.frommyfingertips.com/2014/10/30/ginger-beer-battered-fish
Dishing up from the South of Africa. Ginger beer battered fish. October 30, 2014. My mother makes the best fish batter. It didn’t always include ginger beer (the added ginger beer in this recipe was Gordon Ramsay inspired). You could make this recipe without the ginger beer and just use water or carbonated water and it would still taste amazing. Most battered fish is deep fried but we shallow fry ours. You could deep fry it if you wanted but in the end it tastes the same. Here’s how it was made. Required...
Ramadan Diaries: Day 16
http://www.frommyfingertips.com/2015/07/04/ramadaan-diaries-day-16-2
Dishing up from the South of Africa. Ramadan Diaries: Day 16. July 4, 2015. I’m only getting yesterday’s diary entry in today. Everything was rushed when we got home because we had run out of gas and had to get more in order to use the stove. So off we went to our usual gas supplier – a garage not too far from home only to discover they were waiting on their gas to come in. Luckily there is another supplier close by who had some. So after all the back and forth we finally got home. You might also like.

Chicken sliders | From my fingertips
https://frommyfingertips1.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/chicken-sliders
June 5, 2014. Last night, my mother made a hearty pot of beef and veg soup. It was filling enough on its own but I decided to makes these chicken sliders as well. Sliders are really just small burgers and what you put between the mini buns is entirely your choice. For my filling, I decided on pan seared chicken, jalapeño mayonnaise, some salad (spinach, rosa tomatoes, red onions and gherkins) and cheese, for what is a burger without cheese? Here’s how I made it. Flour to dust over the chicken. Slice open...

Review: High Tea at At.mosphere Lounge, Burj Khalifa. August 12, 2015. Yes You read that headline correctly. I had high tea at At.mosphere inside the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa. In Dubai. Holds the Guinness World Record for highest restaurant in the world from the ground level. The high tea – quite literally the highest high tea I’ve ever enjoyed – is served in the Lounge and offers views like no other. A view of Dubai from the Lounge. We were also given a given berries and cream topped ...

All posts by Aneeqah. October 27, 2015. Who doesn’t love fritters? They remind me of Ramadaan during my childhood when moms would send their kids around the neighbourhood before iftar with little plates to share the treats they’d made for that evening. Often these plates would contain a few greasy fritters (either pumpkin, banana or potato) sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Flip over sweetcorn fritters once they’re a beautiful golden colour. Look how light and fluffy it is on the inside. Half an onion, diced.

Eid-ul-Fitr 2015: A day to celebrate. July 22, 2015. A belated Eid Mubarak to my fellow Muslim readers. I hope your day was filled with quality family time and included lots of love and laughter. We’d just have a mezze plate or a fattoush salad. But when we host an iftar, we go all out. This was a snoek pie I made with leftover fried snoek. Eid prep began the afternoon before Eid. I baked fruit cake. My mom baked hertzoggies and date loaf. There is plenty of food going around at every house you visit and...

Hello from Doha | From my fingertips
https://frommyfingertips1.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/hello-from-doha
September 28, 2015. Just a quick update about what I’m up to. Yesterday my mom and I started our journey to Indonesia to attend my cousin’s wedding. What a journey it has been and (at the time of writing) we are only halfway there. We’re flying via Qatar airways since their raters were the best value for money but that of course came with a 10 hour layover. Hamad International Airport is not cheap and the long layovers might tempt you into buying all the cool things on offer. Share on Facebook (Opens in ...

From My Father's Knee. Tuesday, 9 September 2014. At My Father's Knee: Chronicles of a Buckhorn Pioneer Family. The author has imbued this book with magic charms, creating it associate fearless voyage through a typically diverting, typically horrific, perpetually fascinating, strange lost world, virtually too fantastic to be real, and inhabited with as several fascinating characters as Alice in Wonderland." From My Father To Me
Sunday, July 29, 2012. My goal is God Himself. This poem speaks for itself of where our heart and goal should be! 1 My goal is God Himself, not joy, nor peace,. Nor even blessing, but Himself, my God;. Tis His to lead me there—not mine, but His—. At any cost, dear Lord, by any road. 2 So faith bounds forward to its goal in God,. And love can trust her Lord to lead her there;. Upheld by Him, my soul is following hard. Till God hath full fulfilled my deepest prayer. 3 No matter if the way be sometimes dark,.

Benefits of Social Media Marketing. 65279; . Social m . Is not new anymore and it is and becoming more of a part of life for the masses; your customers, if you’re a business owner. We complain about the younger generation having their smart phones and tablets practically “glued” to their hands. However, more and more of the older generation is not much better! For the business owner it’s more of a “if you can’t beat them, join them” scenario. Yes, I said daily. That’s a given in my mind. So, when you...

Skip to primary content. Dishing up from the South of Africa. Bulgur and lentil salad. This salad is inspired by a Hellenic grain salad I saw on an episode of. I looked up a few recipes and found one by. Judge George Colambaris. It’s also the one that appealed to me the most. But I adapted it to make it more budget-friendly and according to what I had at hand. Overall this salad is packed with goodness and can serve as a meal on it’s own. It’s really filling so if you’re going to ha...Combine cooked lent...
