From The Fox's Den: Lazy for Homeschooling, Yet Somehow Still Productive

http://fromthefoxsden.blogspot.com/2012/02/lazy-for-homeschooling-yet-somehow.html

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Lazy for Homeschooling, Yet Somehow Still Productive. You know what we did for homeschooling today? Why do I think that? What was this book that had her so captivated? The book was Flat Stanley: His Original Adventure! From The Flat Stanley Collection Box Set. I'm so proud of my Bunny! My littlest one decided today would be a good day to color. He finally started using his Easel. And his Crayon Rocks.

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Sunday, July 24, 2011. Learn Nothing Day, 2011. Yes, today is learn nothing day. Want to know what that means? WellI'd love to explain it for you, but, you see, then you would be learning something, and doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? But it may already be too late? What if you didn't know it was Learn Nothing Day? I've never had so much fun! Butthat brings us to today. We started off the day in a rocky way. We trie...It's ...

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Monday, February 13, 2012. Sabrina the Kitty Witch. Our family is growing once again. We've been pet-free for a while now. I have to admit, I've kind of liked it. The doors can be left open without having to worry about letting anyone out. There were no cages or litter boxes to clean. There was no wet-dog smell. It was peaceful having no animals in the house. I'd kind of gotten used to it. However, when we went to the show the breed...

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Unschooling and Socialization.I Think They're Missing the Point. Most of them have absolutely no interest in expanding their knowledge.on anything. Because of this, they may have problems integrating themselves into "normal" society, at least at first. Because that's how they were raised. Adult unschoolers can fit in anywhere. Why? See the problem here? If you ask me, that's entirely missing the point.

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Friday, September 30, 2011. A Bit of Reflection. Due to the recent visit from a good friend of mine, I've kind of started to reflect on my life and my situation. In many ways, I'm pretty lucky to find a place where my kids and I kind of fit in. The value of having a place I feel like I belong has seemed far too underplayed in my life. It's amazing what people can expect of you when you throw those labels around! Already in the past ...

fromthefourthcorner | ramblings about international relations and similar stuff

Ramblings about international relations and similar stuff. July 20, 2012. The future of the nation-state in the information age. Which deals with some of these themes (not always in ways I agree with). This post will be my musings on the subject, hopefully corralled into some sort of coherent order. Well, Scottish enlightenment thinkers such as Adam Smith. Saw a culture’s means of production as the key reason behind its political organisation. In a capitalist society with a division of labour. But this d...

When I Rise

Monday, October 15, 2012. I have been trying to think of a good excuse for my absence the past 3 months in the world of blogging. At first I thought it would be because we moved (true), then because we have been super crazy busy and I haven't had time (kinda true), then I thought because I didn't have anything to talk about (not true). Then I came across this post by Jen Hatmaker. About how to be awesome at blogging and she said ". So there is my excuse. I am awesome and that is why I haven't posted.

From the Foxes' Den

From the Foxes' Den. Sunday, October 12, 2014. Yesterday, knowing that we have a few busy weekends coming up, and also knowing that this mama ain't gettin' any smaller, we thought we should take the boys out for a little fall fun. We headed over to Ken's Corn Maze and let them experience all things pumpkin, farm, and corn. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. The rain brought with it renewed life in some of our plants. This is the hydrangea that I almost gave up on. It looked completely dead until a few we...

From The Fox's Den

From The Fox's Den. My life with kids, animals, and the world around me. Welcome To The Family. Wednesday, December 28, 2016. What is winter break for? In this house it's not for a break. I decided to take some time out of our leisurely boring schedule of lazily doing nothing of any consequence to work on some stuff with the kids. Would this be the best option? It's something that's been really tugging at the back of my mind. Then there's Bear. We've been doing some work together outside of the compu...
