From the kitchens of Kalpa and Kanaka. Friday, December 26, 2008. Grated Carrot: 1 cup. Hing: a pinch. Curry Leaves: 5-6 leaves. Coriander Leaves/ Cilantro: 1/4 bunch. Water: 1/4 cup or as required. Optional: grated coconut - 1/4 cup. Green Chillies : 1. Urad Dal: 1 tsp. Red Chillies : 1-2. Blend everything together in a mixer. Take care not to add too much water. Thogayal should be semi solid. . Serve with rice, chappati, Idli, dosa. Thursday, October 9, 2008. Grated Coconut: 1 cup. Urad Dal: 1 Cup.

As a young girl, I actually used to sell this bread at church…I had quite the little business! It’s great plain, toasted, or topped with a little bit of butter, honey, or peanut butter. Also makes a great grilled sandwich! 12 cups (approx.) wheat flour. 1 1/2 T salt. 2 1/2 T active dry yeast. Mix on low 1 minute.
