From the Ships Helm. Sunday, February 26, 2012. La Alhambra Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains! Sitting at the base of the 11,000 foot high Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Alhambra has stood guard over the city of Granada for centuries. Mohammad I al-Ahmar the founder of the Nasrid dynasty, started the construction on the Alhambra in 1238. Other Sultans lived and rule there and added their own flares to the construction of Palace/Castle/Fort/Honeymoon suite! The Sultans built round turrets on the walls.

Contrary to what you may think or to what I or any other uninformed person may have said regarding my abrupt return to the ships. It had nothing to do with the large scar on my face that appears to originate in vision-endangering close proximity to the left eye! It was NOT the result of my failure to jump high enough/fast enough when karla said "Jump"! Why is that ship behind me grinning! View from the restaurant.

My favorite! I live in Southern California they practically grow like weeks. This should be easy, right? The photos above became the painting below. And despite hand watering, rain and beautiful So Cal weather. So I guess I am back to stopping outside my dentist's office to take cell phone photos of his lilies!
