Frosty animation: Alternative modelling tecniques...

http://www.frostyanimation.blogspot.com/2010/04/alternative-modelling-tecniques.html

Thursday, 15 April 2010. Once I'd modelled the window, it looked pretty sparse without the curtains so I wanted to model something that looked half decent. I tried several tecniques using the standard primitives but couldn't get anything to look right so I finally used a wavy Spline. Then was then extruded using the Sweep Modifier. A pole and rings were added and a Polished Metal Material. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Summary. So how did I think it went? I cant hear you! Filling out the scene.

Frosty animation: More camera's....

http://www.frostyanimation.blogspot.com/2010/04/more-cameras.html

Friday, 30 April 2010. In total, I used 6 different camera's. One was attached to the Dippy's. Head in the opening sequence which gives a nice unusual viewpoint. I had to adjust the clipping as the focal lengths were not suitable and focused. Beyond the bottom of the glass. I used a Target camera in the scenes where the camera pans past Dippy too which is quite effective. For close up shots, I used a 24mm lens to crop in nice and tightly to see Dippy's. Frosty animation: Expressions...

http://www.frostyanimation.blogspot.com/2010/04/expressions.html

Wednesday, 21 April 2010. We did a tutorial some time ago that animated a head by making multiple copies and changing each to a different expression. These new heads were then referenced back to the original and could then drive that particular change. I used that process known as the Morpher. With Dippy. Here you can see the dummy expressions that are then hidden out of scene. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Summary. So how did I think it went? I cant hear you! Filling out the scene.

Frosty animation: I can't hear you! ;o) .......Adding sound...

http://www.frostyanimation.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-cant-hear-you-o-adding-sound.html

Tuesday, 27 April 2010. I can't hear you! I'm pleased with how the animation is going but I feel that when you play back the whole movie, it seems a bit flat. It really needs a little something else. I've experimented with playing different music as I reviewed the animation and most didn't suit the scenes in terms of tempo or mood, but I finally found one that suited it quite nicely. It's called 'You've Got A Friend In Me'. I bought the track from Amazon.com. And added it to Adobe Premiere.

3D modelling & animation semester 2: Underwater Plant

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/underwater-plant.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. The underwater plant is made in a similar way to the reeds leaves. I made a very thin plane, squashed the end, and made it dip in the middle. Then I bent it round so it has a better leaf shape. The leaves were then copied and re-sized several times so that there were enough of them. Posted by Ozzy Betts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Story boards and pictures.

3D modelling & animation semester 2: The Water Reeds

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/water-reeds.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. The water reeds were pretty tricky. I had a go at several different designs, but finally settled with this one. I started with a cylinder for the reeds. I used soft selection to give a reed shape, and then imported a custom material from photoshop. I tried to line up the bars in the material with the joins in the reeds. The leaves are made from a plane which was made thinner and bent slightly. To make the reed move I added bone to the model.

3D modelling & animation semester 2: Main scenes

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/main-scenes.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. I used two cameras in the main environment for the different scenes. Camera 1 swoops down from the sky in scene 1 and then comes to a stop on the reeds. Camera 2 was used for the reeds and tree. During the reeds and tree scenes, I had to use a target spot light, and an omni light, so that the reeds and tree were clearly visible in their respective scenes. During the reed scenes, and the second tornado scene, the reeds move due talking, or from th...

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/cloud.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. To make the cloud I made another plane, and applied a cloud picture to it. I then applied a cloud silhouette as an opacity map to remove the background. This is a render. Posted by Ozzy Betts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Story boards and pictures.

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Wednesday, 17 February 2010. Right then.I've gotten a bit behind with my posting :[ but i have LOADS of stuff ready to put up :]. I have had a few breakthroughs on the 3d modeling side of things so I will try and put them up as soon as I can. Anyway, after reading through the whole of my Aesop's fables book, I have found a few I like and feel would be effective as a short childrens film. I was only supposed to find about three.so I chose ten :P lol.

3D modelling & animation semester 2: The Fish

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/fish.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. To make the fish I used a box, and pushed the top vertexes inward to make the basic fish shape. Then after applying a mesh smooth, I then made a multi/sub object material to give the fish the right colours. I used extrude here to start making the fins. This shows the material being applied. 3D modelling & animation semester 2: Tornado appearing scene

http://3dmodelling2.blogspot.com/2010/05/tornado-appearing-scene.html

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. To make the tornado appear out of the cloud, I positioned the snow particle system next to the top edge of the cloud(for some reason(probably the wave modifiers) the tornado starts at the bottom. Therefore, I turned the cloud upside down with the intention of turning the video back the right way later on. Posted by Ozzy Betts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Story boards and pictures.

We visualize our blog as a private conversation between us (Keith and Lance), written to an ambiguous and absent audience, that someone someday might read—not really for entertainment, but out of sheer curiosity for what we might talk about. It's a narrowly-focused, rambling, commercial failure. This is our Pinkerton. Gorilla vs. bear. We, too, can be snarky about pop culture!
